He means Eddie

The guy from Custom Robo?
Is Custom Robo even third party? Never played it or know much about it
edit: but wait he didn't throw power ups, did he? so you probably mean another one xD
That guy is Ray MKII.

I believe that the Custom Robo series is a 2nd Party series, made for Nintendo by another company. He didn't actually throw powerups though to my knowledge.

As a sidenote, he could be a cool Newcomer if they sized him up appropriately.

Man the W101 would be hype as shit and would do a lot of good in the roster as newbies from an atypical and current Nintendo game.

He's the only character that I can say I REALLY hope makes it into the game. He'd be perfect... I can picture his entire moveset already.

Same here except I'm greedy and would love to see like a "band of four" between Red, Blue, Green and Pink that would hot swap between weapons with a Down B - Hold B - Press Direction (left, right, up, down) mechanic. A "mob as one" character has so much potential.

Save Blue, Green, and Pink for their own separate characters.

Been awhile since I have popped into this thread, but my hype for Smash Bros is too high right now, is anyone actually planning on getting both the 3DS and WIi U version?

Wait what? They collect user data from yoshi's new island?

They ask you when you first start the game - also there is an option to turn it on and off.
Probably accessing the mic to count how many people say - "*sigh* I wish Yoshi was in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS *sigh*" - while playing, to decide if Yoshi is worth it.

3DS only unless a Wii U falls in my lap. I can't balance getting another console when I'm juggling handheld games.

There was this one post on Smashboards that suggested a moveset that even incorporated the Wonder-Liner. That would be pretty crazy.

I'll get the Wii U version physical copy and 3DS digital copy :)
Actually was planning on getting the Wii U only, but there are way too many cool stages on both of them.

It's nice to see Sakurai is featuring characters that Nintendo doesn't care about.

I hope Wonder Red is playable, too.
Gosh dang I don't think he's likely but he's up there in my top three characters I really want playable, right after Rhythm Monkey and Ridley. I feel like anyone who has played The Wonderful 101 is inevitably going to want a Smash rep - it would just fit so well. I think he'd be really cool as a risk/reward character centered on powering up his normals by using the Unite Fist, which could be broken if it is in use, causing Red to be stunned and not be able to use his specials for a fair few seconds.

Heck yeah. Smash Bros. is my favorite game series of all time, so there's not really any question about whether or not I will grab both versions. Also the 3DS version looks to have a lot of silly stages that I really want to play on (Lumiose City for instance) so...
I'm still crossing my fingers that they do HD versions of the 3DS-exclusive stages as DLC.

My plan is this too at some point, but I'll wait for the 3DS digital version to go down in price a little since I'd need to get a bigger SD card for my XL anyway.

I think a AT would be more likely for Wonder Red since the 3DS will probably have problems with 101 wonderful soldiers in a whole battle? Of course they can include Wonder Red without any other Wonderful ones, but that'd be ... *meh* imo.

I still think the Wonderful 101 would be a good replacement to the Fighting Wireframes/Polygons/Metals. A large number of characters built on a few basic bodytypes with a lot of repetition in fighting style. That, and they would fit in great with the 100-man Melee/Brawl/whatever it is going to be.

I would be so bummed if this happened. Same thing if the Fighting _ were replaced by Miis - if they were literally designed as fighters, they should be playable. Making a crossover character into an NPC in that manner would just suck for anyone who wanted them in.

Plus I really hope they just bring the Fighting Polygons back because they were really really awesome.

There are a million ways you could make a really unique character out of Wonder Red, yeah. I really hope he or Bayonetta are in (or better, both). Give us some P* love, Sakurai!

Screw you, Santa will not be some generic cannon-fodder.
