Fez is so adorable and fun. Puzzles are good and there aren't any forced tutorials. heck when I got to the
rotating platforms that let you go up, I didn't notice the colorful fellow there who could explain it to you, I just figured it by myself
 
I'm sure this has been answered multiple times, but I can't find an answer anywhere. When I'm buying stuff from store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com, how do I know if I got the cross-buy version? I'm confused because the banner shows Fez for PS4 / PS3 / Vita, but when you click on the banner the listing for Fez only says playable on PS4.

If blog.us.playstation.com lists a game as crossbuy for the systems, they're cross buy. The webstore may be a little confusing on that but rest assured, once you've bought one version you'll get the other ones.

Every version of Fez should be cross-buy. I recommend buying the Vita version if possible though to show Sony that indie games are doing well on the Vita.

There really needs to be a better way to tell which games support cross-buy in the SEN Store.

Cool. Thanks for both replies! For some reason I thought I remember it being the case at one point that if you bought the Vita version of something you only got the Vita version, but if you bought the PS3 version then you also got the Vita version. Glad they cleared that up.

Those were only for first-party retail games (PSASBR, Sly Cooper). Because retail games cost more on the PS3, only the PS3 versions supported cross-buy.
 
So how long is the playtime of Fez? I have read the game needs you taking notes and googling stuff to finish it, I guess it is not a game to play while taking a trip by car?

Have a 2-3 hour car drive today and sunday and thought about playing something. Steamworld Dig seems perfect?

Nah Fez can still be played and enjoyed without a guide, heck I'm not using one and I'm just going around platforming and collecting the cubes. I think for a 2-3 hour trip you can get some enjoyment from it. Don't worry about backtracking just keep going forward and go into any door that appears to be closed/unopened.

Yeah. I mean there's a trophy for beating the game in under 4 hours. 6 hours is what I hear a lot of people say, but when it comes to those kinds of games I like to 100% them, and there were a few items that took some time trying to find. Don't expect more than a 6 hour game unless you're like me in that respect.

Still, it's a very well made game.
 
Sigh, this is annoying. I should not have updated CMA. Why do I need to update just to transfer files to my PC? :/ There's a national issue with our internet connections to the US right now. Sony site barely even loads, and I was downloading the update at ~3KB/s, but somehow CMA downloaded semi OK.

And it needs you to have an internet connection while using it, that's why I use OpenCMA considering the internet connections here.
Are you affected by the undersea cuts in the wires of PLDT? Globe is fine you know.
 
Wow, another disappointing month for PS+. Games that (1) have been heavily discounted recently so many probably already bought them or (2) were given to EU MONTHS ago.

At least there's Mercenary Kings for free for PS4 owners.
 
First meh month for Plus overall for me in awhile. I'll give Mercenary Kings a shot though.

Also, having great clickable analog sticks and real triggers on my new Nvidia Shield makes me yearn for those on Vita.
 
Welp I'm lost in Fez now, but what I played so far has been fun and Gomez is soooooooooooooo adorable.
Only gripe is that the 'death animations' aren't...well looney tunes-esque.

Internet requirement is just another one of Sony's crazy security features. They fear the hack so much they made the whole user experience inconvenient. The proprietary memory cards are expensive, the data encryption makes data transfer between PC and Vita slow and it requires a internet connection.

With OpenCMA, the latter is fixed.

Is anyone having problems with Unit 13?

I remember trying to play the demo nearly two years ago, and having it hard crash my Vita almost every other time I booted the game up.

After downloading the game for Plus, I finally got through the Training tutorial and nearly the first full mission before it crashed again- like sound cuts out, I can press the menu button and everything freezes requiring a hard reset.

For the record, I've never had an freezing/crashing issues with any other titles- hell, I played an hour or so of Lumines right after I booted it back up with no problems. But I remember avoiding picking up the game precisely because of my horrible experiences with the demo just not being functional...
 
yeah Mercenary Kings is fun and all--and hell, it's FREE--but I am a little disappointed we weren't given 2 games, especially since there aren't a ton of good games available for the PS4 yet.
 
I'm totally fine with Aprils PS+. MK looks awesome and I've heard nothing but good things about PJM. I'll probably only play a few of the games and the other will go in the backlog. Never to be seen again unfortunately.

I swear these cryptic error codes would make the Vita interface fail a heuristic evaluation in two seconds.

Before someone asks; he works for SCE's Third Party Production team - the people that look to localize/port/fund games for PlayStation platforms that otherwise wouldn't exist. Their work brought Vita Borderlands 2.

also Wifi Vita is just that, wifi only as opposed to the 3G combo which you would have to get a cell carrier

Sorry if it was a late reply. I'm actually having more time to play now that I have left GAF for a while. I didn't even turn the internet on for a few days.

It's Computer Engineering. I mainly do the programming stuff in C++/C#/Java

My specialization is Robotics.

Finally got my SRW OG 2 copy from my friend coming home from Japan. Sucks that I couldn't play it earlier because customs is so corrupted. Gotta play this nao!
