I got my Shield. I honestly REALLY love this thing. The only thing I don't like is the black levels don't compare to the Vita's OLED. Oh, and it's certainly not a looker except in a way that only a hardcore nerd like myself can like. But otherwise, the Shield makes me wish so bad the Vita had better sticks and triggers. I am surprised by the d-pad as well. It's way better than I thought it would be (it looks kind of like the 360 controller's d-pad, but it's much better).

Man, I really want a Shield. I don't think they're officially available in the UK. I saw one in a used electronics shop for £310, then a week later it was £250. I don't know how much it costs in America bux but £250 is still a bit much for me. :/

I mostly just want it for emulators really. My PC won't even work with the streaming stuff.

Fez is fun until you get lost or don't know where to go to proceed and need to backtrack. I prob. spent 4 hours playing it today but it was really fun and I loved solving some of the platforming sections and puzzles.

Yeah, same here. I don't have a gaming PC, but I may get one eventually, so right now PC streaming is a no-go for me.

Have you installed any emulators on it? If so, how well do they run?

Have only tried a SNES one so far, which works flawlessly (though I guess that's not a huge achievement).

Yeah. And no, I don't do the PC streaming as I don't have a gaming PC. I have a laptop that can do most indie games, but that is AMD so I can't utilize the feature.

Doki Doki Universe has to be the shittiest game on Vita.

I am only partly hyperboling.

The gameplay is simple and just plain stupid paired with one of the most horrible UIs I have seen in my life. You have to summon items for people to either make them happy or annoy them but instead of a real inventory/menu you can only see a random subset of your available items and have to reshuffle it for another random subset. Sure, you can search for related items of one of the items available but that just isn't enough. Why can't I just scroll through it?
Than there are some people who are really picky about what they want but the hints are so bad. As an example, some guy wants something beautiful from the sea but after 15 things I have summoned for him nothings beautiful. How am I supposed to know what is beautiful for him? Other people have just weird preferences which aren't logical at all.
And even if you summon the right thing there is a chance that your summon will get randomized and destroys all your hard work. Yes, just add some random shit to the gameplay which fucks the player all over, thanks developer.

Normally, I would just say this is quirky bad gameplay design but unfortunately it is paired with technical issues. The game constantly crashes on me and the cross save is glitched. It always bugs me with the notion that my cloud save is newer, which isn't possible, so I should overwrite it. And while we are at stuff that bugs the player, the game also annoyingly wants you to use Facebook and asks you everytime when you look at NPC mails.

The only enjoyable parts are the pseudo psychology tests where it is obvious how you will be profiled. Some stuff is funny.

Happy to hear that I am not the only one interested in this game. Gives me Theme Park/Hospital vibes with the addition of hopefully great indie music.

I guess I might be jumping the gun a bit. It just seemed like it was pretty congealed into it's final form from the original footage so I expected to hear alot more sooner. But yeah it looks pretty sweet

Not really from what i understand streaming doesn't work with all pc games and apart from streaming it's just an android gaming device which means trash games and F2P robbery schemes when you try to use it's native library.

I mean I can understand it from a competition standpoint. But they're shutting out a lot of people.

I wouldn't get that thing to play Android games. My Xperia tablet does more than enough on that front.

My OCD is going nuts. I just noticed the color temperature is slightly uneven on my 2000 vita. The very left hand side of the screen has a blue tint and seems slightly brighter than the rest of the screen.

Not as bad as my GS3 which has a nearly identical problem but far more noticeable. I suppose it's also better than the weird vignetting that happened on my 1000 model.

On ps4, I already the following: Super motherload, steamworld dig, injustice, tomb raider, metal gear solid 5, infamous SS, FEZ, escape plan, flower, flow, doki doki universe, and of course all the PS+ games that have come for free so far.

I was kinda eyeballing stuff like Strider, and Towerfall, but I don't know if Strider is any good...and if Towerfall is local multiplayer focused, then I don't know if it'd have much to offer me.

Anything else cool come to PS4 or PS3 recently that I should consider?

Guacamelee is similar in gameplay structure to Strider but Guacamelee is a fantastic game. There is a PS4 version out soon or you can get the PS3 version now.

Strider is a very good throwback action game. I highly recommend it.

1. Make a Japanese account. (I make my accounts on the web store because it's quicker than plugging in a keyboard to do it.)

2. Factory reset the Vita in question.

3. Turn it back on and log in using your JP account.

Rpgs don't usually come out on the first year of the system. This is normal. They take longer to make.

Also, japan is not what it used to be. If you want Japanese rpgs, buy a handheld.

Bit Trip Runner 2 Vita is great. It isn't constant 60 but the dips are slight and don't affect me owning the shit out of the levels so far. Address most of my gripes with the first game, and I can play it on playstation dpad and buttons.
