I got Metatron in the mail today. She's pretty neat, but ultimately another result of the great impulse-buy bonanza that was March. XD
Pretty pissed. Ordered a set of 5 trading figures from an Amazon reseller that is based in Japan. They have a 5 star review status so they seemed trustworthy. But they only sent me one figure and it took a whole month to arrive. Filed a claim with Amazon and left negative feedback.

Yea, $17 total for one small trading figure is crap. I should've bought from one of the other resellers instead. I'm actually gonna give them 2-3 days to see if they respond to the claim. If they don't then I'll give them a negative.
The only other time I got scammed by a reseller on Amazon was like over 10 years ago for a Hardboiled DVD which turned out to be a bootleg. Got a refund from Amazon for that.
So...I'm planning on getting a figure from Jungle and it was available in both A and B grade in regards to the condition. The A grade item is 5,775Yen while the B grade item is 4,200Yen.
I decided to email them in regards to the specifics and they replied (rather promptly might I add!)
Sounds good? I'm cheap and like to save money as anyone would but I don't want it to come all ugly and damaged! Any advice?

sounds like the B grade item is the way you want to go, unless you plan on reselling in the future and need the box in pristine condition. Personally I just keep the boxes around in case I need to move, so I can repack my figs. What condition the box is in matters very little to me as long as it protects the fig.
Yeah I keep all my boxes around but that's not for reselling purposes like you said. I hardly sell my items since I buy to keep and fortunately have never needed to sell items in order to make money.
As long as the box doesn't look like it was used to wipe someone's backside I should be fine. I always equate (rightly or wrongly) the box and it's condition in the same way you look at the way someone presents themselves. It's the first impression. The figure could be pristine but if the box looks like it's been chewed on by a rat I'd be understandably worried.
This seems to be fine however if they aren't telling lies, which I don't believe they are. Saving a bit of money to boot and hey I emailed them so I at least investigated.

Same. I love that figure, but I know fuck all about Idolmaster except that I couldn't stand the episode I watched.
the games are definitely a ton better, I might retry the show, but I couldn't get into it

Eh, I think it's the Idol aspect I can't get into. I like "Wanna Be The Strongest In The World" because it was about an Idol that became a pro wrestler. XD Fun show, except the first three episodes which were all moaning and blatant crotch-shots.

More like the entire series. Though it's only about half the episode of that in the second half.

The Winter Soldier pre-orders keep coming, anyone else picking these up? I pre-ordered the Winter Soldier and Black widow but I am holding off on Cap for now (will probably get the other suit though). Hopefully we see Falcon and a new Nick Fury soon. Its going to be rough with this and Guardians of the Galaxy, but bring on that Racoon Hot toys.
These look amazing. I was going to stay well away from all of these because I thought the movie would suck, and I have the previous version of that Cap. Boy was I wrong, the movie was great and now I think I at least need a Wnter Soldier and a Super Soldier (when it's released).
I've got that Hot Toy fever again...maybe I should get Rescue Version Cap, cause he looks badass.
Shows how much I know about the sins figures. I didn't realize she could be castoff completely naked till now....which made me go look up the beelzebub I ordered. Didn't know she would be castoffable down to the tits.....her top just seemed too connected for that to be an option. Christ I need to check mfc more often to be aware of these things. I don't have a problem with it I guess since it's an option. I just won't make use of that option. At least now I know what someone in here was talking about now. Y'all can laugh at my naiveté now.
Have you never checked out any Orchid Seed figures before? They make almost exclusively cast off figures.
Is there Sorceress going to be too? I had no idea.

I'm guessing no. They tend to make the figures cast off relative to what you can see in the source material, which is nothing in Dragon's Crown.
yeah I knew, but I had never actually looked at any of the 7 sins in their cast off versions. Reasoning being, cast off doesn't interest me in the slightest so I didn't need to look. I also pretty much was never going to order a 7 sins until I did and because I don't care about cast off, it was not even on my mind at the time. The naiveté comes into play that I doubly didn't consider that it doesn't matter to japan what age a character is so it just never occurred to me. I have a real woman in my life that supplies me with ample real boobs when requested so its not something I look for in figures ever. She also thought Beelzebub was adorable, keeping the cast off ability of it a secret will probably be for the best...

This is why I'm so happy to have Mammon, Belphegor, and Beelzebub already paid for. It's a cost in the short-term, but at least I don't need to worry about it. I haven't paid for Satan yet, since I have her pre-ordered via AmiAmi.
Mammon is paid for, but other two aren't. It's still going to be ~430USD for all three, and I'm not used to that kind of spending.

It's Noriko from Gunbuster! Have you not seen the show :0? It's one of the greatest OVA's ever created so I suggest you watch it asap if you haven't
It's only 6 episodes so you could watch it in a single sitting or two. Make sure you get the tissues ready when you watch it Specifics on the figure. Its manufactured by Kotobukiya and released back in 2004 for 6800Yen.

Okay, good news, that Amazon reseller refunded me. Apparently they mentioned that Amazon Japan and Amazon US used different titles for the same product page number. Single figure for them and a set for US. Well, whatever, I got my money back so I got a free figure out of it. Totally still not rebuying from them if they can't figure out the title translations.

HLJ and NY all take their time.
Hah you both need to watch it as soon as you can.It's only 6 episodes but it's one of the greatest shows every created period. The music, animation, story, characters...everything. It came out back in 1989 and of course has some obvious tropes. Boobs in this show have a tendency to jiggle...a lot (later became known as the Gainax Bounce) and the eyes can look pretty big at times. I liken them to puppy-dog eyes lol. And yeah it has the usual montages etc but it's soo fucking awesome and all this shit that is listed above that would usually make my eyes roll...don't. The show is soo fucking amazing.
When you watch it you'll see things in Evangelion and FLCL and Gurren Lagann and you'll be like "So that's what this is paying homage too!" "That's what this is from!" "Oh shit that's exactly like Gunbuster!"
It's not just a product of it's time. Its amazing today and holds up soo fucking well. Don't read any spoilers and watch it.
...And then watch the sequel Diebuster. And then cry. A lot. And thank me.
