Oh, nice. But Lutaciel is different, right?

I think she's only available for summoning for 4 bosses:
the Rotten, Smelter Demon, Flexile Sentry, Lost Sinner. You need to fight with her by your side and defeat 3 bosses + she need to survive those fights. You can fight 3 different bosses, one boss 3 times, one boss twice + another boss once. I got her gear (and the trophy) after fighting the Rotten three times with her, using 3 ascetics on NG.

Goddamn Ruin Sentinels felt like a soft spring breeze blowing against my nuts in NG+. Oddly satisfying but I'm starting get a little disappointed how easy everything feels now excluding couple unexpected red phantoms. Oh well that was the case in Dark Souls too.

Still, dat epic soundtrack in Sentinels battle. My fav boss fight in the whole game by far.

so, seems like I opend to many spoilers in this thread.

just found out that you need
Giant's Kinship to face the last boss.

that means you need to talkt to the
ancient dragon
to recieve the
Ashen Mist Heart
and then go into the
giant memories

who does tell you need
giant's king ship to face the last boss
and who tells you that you have to find the
ancient dragon
and then who tells you to go
into the memories
?

Talking to the
ancient dragon
is part of the natural progression of the game. The
petrified giants
were obviously going to be important at some point and the item description led me back to those.

so I have to wander around till I stumble over/remember that
king's gate
in the shaded woods, when I searched for a way to continue in
dranglic castle
after the
throne defender/watcher
fight?

You don't have to wander around or stumble over it at all if you remember it...or took notes while playing the game like I did. Old-school gamer nerds FTW!

I love that this game has some mystery to it, forces you to pay attention to your surroundings, and doesn't always have flashing arrows pointing you in the right direction.

I think I'm stuck. I've
lit four primal bonfires and I have the souls of rotten, lost sinner, and the old iron king soul.
I just beat
Freja
and when I went back to Majula the lady said I had a lot of souls or something. I was thinking I should go to the door in the forest that asks me to present the kings thing or whatever, but I apparently don't have the required thing, so uh yeah. Help please?

try the other door..

Amen. It wouldn't work for every game, but that this game can do it and get away with it is part of its overall appeal imo.

No one.
This IS SPAR...eerrr Dark SOULS!!!

How about ring of life protection + 3k souls to repair it when you die? Because human effigies are in limited supply throughout the game, aren't they?
He needs to
offer an actual effigy to try that dungeon again
.

Should I stock up on items before Ng+ or will shops keep their inventory? Also, is there a glitch with the merchant in Majula not giving the serpent silver ring +1?
Stock up, definitely. They don't restock until you redo that progress that lead them to upgrade their inventory.

The one thing I forgot to stock up on before going to NG+ was arrows (both iron and poison)... on my dex. So I rushed to Iron Keep and to Doors of Pharros to get McDuff and Gavlan to sell their infinite arrow supply, hah. Made the early part of NG+ a bit tense because wooden arrows are such crap.

That's nothing. Try greatswords like the Bastard Sword or Claymore. The phantom range on these things is ridiculous.
Ah, good ol' Demon's Souls, how I missed thee.

Apparently I managed to get to the "A place unknown" bonfire before I ever got the King's Seal.

lol
How is that possible?

Is it bad that when other people get stuck in this game it makes me feel like a genius for figuring the path of the game out on my own?

In all seriousness if you talk to everyone and explore its not that bad.

Edit: I can't spell and my previous statements are now invalid.

I don't think Fragrant Branches of Yore transfer over to NG+...

Either that or I'm going crazy, I swear I had 2!
I thought all items except quest/story progression items transfer. Fragrant Branches fall out of that category. Not home now, but will check and respond if someone doesn't do so when I get there.

Edit:
Looks like we have an answer. They don't.

They do not, but it takes 10 Minutes to get to one.
Drop down the hole in Majula with the cat ring/legs, defeat the easy rat boss, get to the Gutter and progress until you get to the bottom, right before Black Gulch. There is one after you smash the urns with the acid in them
This one is really easy to get quickly.

Just reached Drangleic Castle and did the first boss, loving this area!

So apparently I'm missing the fourth bonfire in Forest Of The Fallen Giant, any tips how to find it?

I wish there was a soul level sucking enemy in this game like in Demon's Souls.

Forgot what my level was and raised it up to 151. >__>

Probably doesn't even matter but it's driving me crazy.

Okay, so I lit the
four primal bonfires
. My next step is the
winter door or whatever which'll lead to drangleic?

Yep.

I can't be bothered to run through all bosses again so I have deleted the patches and will glitch jump my way past the shrine of winter lol.

No one and nothing. The description on the
heart
leads you to the trees sorta, but without reason.
Like there is no in game reason other then the path leading you there that you would think you have to talk to a fake dragon, get an item to go though memories, beat a boss from the past, that he would drop an item that does "something" in the throne of want, or that you even need anything else to do anything in the throne of want.
Enjoy.

You fight her in the ToW? You sure you're not mistaken? There are other bosses there. I have the necessary souls (trying to avoid spoilers without using tags), and I can't find where to battle her. That area is still empty for me, after I beat the two peeps there.

Hmm...

I'm now into NG+, and really liking the increased difficulty so far, esp for the new enemy placements/etc. I've only been invaded once so far, but they do seem more common now. As several people I've co-oped with have been invaded. This one guy was quite a sinner! Co-opped with him at the Tower of Flame early on, and he got invaded 3 times in a row by the Blue Sentinels. haha

Also: I love the no limit on summons. I place one down, anywhere, and boom! summoned within seconds.

I've actually am amazed by how quickly I've progressed through NG+ so far. Done maybe 2/5th of the game within like 6 to 8 hours, and that is including like an hour or 2 of co-op help to get extra souls. 6 or so hours is very short for me, when it took me like 100 hours to beat the game. haha. I've finally maxed out my Atonement skill at 75, so I now have max 10 slots + extras for rings/etc. Slowly increasing my Faith some more and Intelegence some more. I'll prob end up switching my stats around some bit to try out different bits, like be a hex build, or a sorcerer build. Currently I am sticking with a main of Miricles (Sunlight Spear ftw) and also Pyromancy with a little hex on the side.

My roommate also got the game last night. Him watching me play has really gotten him interested in the game. He's liking it so far and advancing nicely. We did a little co-op here and there, I tried out the Swordsman class a little.

Hmm...

I'm pretty sure you're missing the soul of the
Giant King from the Memory of a Giant
. She didn't spawn for me either before getting that soul.

Noob ques - How do I use cracked red eye orb? I just joined Sunbros but still can't use?

What does it say when you try to use it? If it give you an error saying there are no sinners in the area, then you have to wait or move to somewhere else. Also obviously need to make sure you are logged into the server (game does sometimes mess up and disconnect you)

i still chuckle at how you need
4 souls to get through the shrine of winter
in order to bypass some waist-high rubble.

Hmm...

you need to go someplace else(behind an other
king's door
),
speak to a being there
,
that gives you an item
,
that enables you to interacte with some things.
and in
one of those things is a thing
that gives you some key-item
.

Agh, I remember I fought the boss there last night, didn't beat him, and went off to do other things. For some reason I thought I had it, whoops.

I'm at the last spoiler tag, I thought I had it already. My mistake.

oh my god these fucking archer knight guys in
the iron keep are giving me serious anor lando flashbacks. the god damn lightning sword swipes DESTROY my stamina and knock me off the little narrow walkways so easily lol

hmmm.

PVP was great on the bell but now that I'm traying to max out the dragon covenant I'm getting a ton of lag.

I hate hearing the sound of "hitting" someone but then seeing that they don't take damage.
I run at people hit them them twice.... they take now damage and by then cast a spell that somehow instakills me :(

Magic should hit hard but be easy to dodge... but when magic missiles hit you despite flying like 10 feet besides you it's impossible

I've never blocked those, just roll through and they're a piece of cake. They sit in a long drawn out animation after that so if you roll past them when dodging you get a free backstab.

I've ran out of Alonne captain's to kill I think unless there is more inside the keep so I can't get the Alonne greatbow that I wanted :(. I had to get all those black steel katana's that I'm never going to use.

You can actually jump to it, I thought you were supposed to get there that way and spent like an hour trying to get down there. I thought the King's Door there was a separate one, but I just opened it for he first time and was surprised that I had already got it.

I found a video of the jump here, but you don't have to jump to the first ledge there, I just jumped over it.
Well, shit. In my first playthrough I was teased by that loot and platform and tried to jump there so many times and eventually gave up. Turns out it's actually possible after all, haha. Probably a glitch though. Not that it really does much, since you can't do anything there without the
Ashen Mist thingie
.

I want to abandon Sunbro to join Bloodbros to fight secret boss, but does abandoning do anything negative? Count as a sin, lock out of rejoining Sunbros, etc?

No negative affects, all progress is saved for each covenant. Secret boss isn't in the Brotherhood of Blood covenant though.
