PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | March 2014

Have you played the original version?

never played the original.. I was hoping RO Ace will be something like PSO2

Top of the Page (for 100PP Master Race:P)
- Buy FEZ (Phil Fish's game is awesome on OLED)
- Buy SteamWorld Dig (this is the WAY it is meant to played... and not on the 3DS Hardware)
- Buy Luftrausers (the Vlambeer guys are just <3)
- Buy Miku (and join the wait for Miku 2)
- Buy Danganronpa (a fellow GAFfer does the voicework for one of the characters)
- Buy FFX|X-2 HD so we can get FFXII HD :P
- Buy Toukiden... we are being overrun by Oni

So I've started messing with some extreme difficulty Miku songs and uh, yeah I don't think any amount of practice will give me the skill to beat it. There are chains of notes to hit in Worlds End Dance Hall that are so fast I can literally not hit the button fast enough.

Tried alternating face buttons and dpad?

I don't think it's any easier since I'm terrible at the extreme versions of the songs, but try using the d-pad as well. Alternate between the buttons and the d-pad since they both work.

I should practise what I preach - that's the only game I did not buy. HA

Haha well now you have to! It was definitely $40 well spent, the game is beautiful on Vita, they did a great job with the remaster. But yeah, I would be seriously disappointed (and surprised) if FFXII HD didn't come next.

I've talked about this before, but for a company that currently manufactures 4 different platforms (3 of which they'll claim to actively support - though in actuality it'll probably be 1 by the end of the year), mandating a catch all name in multiplatform trailers/ads is just really dumb:

PlayStation can mean a lot of things. Luckily that trailer did specify that the game was heading to PS3, and Vita. The Batman Origins TV ads I saw last year didn't do that. AFAIK only SCEA does this.

The vita stand is nice, easy to rest the system on and works adequately for sessions of DJ Max Technika. I still need to hold it a bit so it doesn't wobble but it works much better than before. Pop mixing levels are hard though, those O--|-| prompts mess up my mind.

Also, some users are saying in another forum that the Kid Icarus stand for the 3DS is also a good alternative for this game.

Done and done.

I want my DanganRonpa 2 nao.

Also Super Meat Boy.

Yeah, that's really stupid.

In the Arkham Origin add in Spain there was a "para PlayStation 3 y PlayStation Vita" in the end. And there was a pic with both consoles at the end iirc. Probably just SCEA lol.

I personally wouldn't call it terrible as I spent a lot of time in the original, I enjoyed it quite a bit actually. That being said, given the tremendous glut of hunting games available on the Vita there are way, waaaay, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better ways to spend your money if that's the kind of game you're looking for.
You call it a glut, but really, there is only SS and toukiden other than RO in the west.

True. It's not even the first time I read something like that ("could've liked x if it wasn't for all the hunting games available on vita") and I find it hilarious every time
edit: no offense intended :/

Having recently finding my misplaced psp, I was toying with the idea of using my US account on it and leaving my Vita on my UK one. So I decide to wander onto the store, to check out some Psp & Psone games.

All I can say is wow, those games maybe old, but they sure are pricey.

Fair enough, I think it is really, really bad. The combat is completely weightless and there's almost no punishment for button mashing. It feels almost inconsequential since all you do is jump around spamming the same moves over and over again.
Seems I have to skipped this one too.
Yeah man if you're looking for something like Toukiden or MH I would pass on RO... or at least don't buy it at full price without trying out a demo or something first. Even then I think the demo is misleading because it is just really, really repetitive in the full game. More of the same. No cool crafting system either, it's really vapid.

PSX game prices on US PSN are OK, PSP games @ $15 tend to be worth that price.
The companies gotta make a profit out of those things anyways.

I've done my part ;)

Still need to get Miku but 3 day one retail releases already killed my budget so it has to wait.

Done :). Those games are just too good and are great additions to the Vita library. Not the biggest JRPG fan (so no FFX/FFX-2), nor am I a fan of Monster Hunter type games (though I enjoyed Toukiden and Soul Sacrifice), so I wont be picking up those games. Never played any Miku game before (though I will admit, her music is very catchy :)), so I don't know if that is a good buy or not (though I will assume Vita gaf will say its a must buy for Vita :)).

Either way, this month had a great batch of games for Vita and we can only hope April will continue to give us fun games to play :).

I need these to go on sale already:
Castlevanai: Dracula X Chronicles
Ys 1+2
Neo Geo Ultimate Shooting
That one jRPG game on PSN whose name escapes me and was released on the Saturn and PSX.

Still waiting for another NG Station sale to complete my NG collection on vita. And you should have bought Ys 1+2, lol.

Will the Target deal work online? Apologies if this has been asked and I missed it :p

Hm, I still want Toukiden and Tearaway. Not sure what else I'd want though.
