It would be a better question to ask, if Melee surpasses Marvel, do their pools get main stage instead. Usually that's only reserved for UMvC3 and SF4.

well, Nintendo not giving a fuck about the competitive scene+Brawl being abysmal from a competitive standpoint leaves an incredibly rare opportunity
besides, it's not like people didn't originally move to Brawl, they just gradually moved back :lol
MK9 was probably the game with less entrances last year and still got a full day in the 2nd biggest stage, so....

Did you know you can jump cancel step dashes to gain momentum in BB?
Also, that suggestion video thing is actually going to happen so anything is nice. We want to help people with BB but we don't know what people need help with.
P.S. I know Omex is weird but his videos are good and he keeps in touch with the people you want to have help with BB things.

I think surviving this time will mean not being one of the bigger games (in the US). I think people in the "FGC" are more attracted to new games or newly updated games than before. If Capcom can release a Marvel spiritual successor, I would say Marvel is done.

Walking burns more fat than jogging, with much lower impact on your joints. The reason being that your body doesn't go into "endurance" mode and try to store away energy. Jogging/running is great, but when you get older or are bulkier, that shit hurts, and you have to cover more distance than walking.
So you're doing it right.
Exciting stuff. The EVO hype is real.
You guys also remind me that I should really try to walk more, especially now that NYC is looking clearer and getting warmer. Fuck winter.

Considering the nonsense that's going to be bandied about today, this is actually the most constructive discussion the thread can accommodate until the 2nd (since we've already talked about custom sticks, and we're taking a break on defining a major).
What sixteen-bit said. All of the laughs, none of the disappointment. A lot of companies are on thin ice with their fans as-is, so they can't get away with swerves anyways.
Players in the US would have to become awful in every other game overnight in order to get the same situation that facilitated MVC2's reign, but a legit successor to Marvel would kill UMVC3 instantly.

This might be too basic but.. anti-airing in arcsys games? My main games are 3D so i'm bad at it in general but then it's different from streetfighter too.

Any suggestion is a good suggestion. AAing in BB is weird anyways since barrier is a thing and BB neutral in general is funky.

Morrigan has a 4-way air dash, and Firebrand has command dashes (huge difference). Capcom would have to pull in some serious bias toward winged/magical characters to make a Capcom All-Stars feel like Marvel. Which, you know, practically guarantees Nina. ;-D

I think this is mostly true, but some Marvel characters are classics. A Capcom All-Stars won't be the same without Magneto. In fact, most of the flyers in MvC3 are Marvel characters. Outside of stuff like Devil Trigger, Trish is the only traditional 8-way air dash character. Doom, Dormammu, Magneto, Storm, Phoenix, MODOK, Thor, Iron Man, and Nova are the other options.

The arcana/H&H system is really cool. It would make Marvel look like Street Fighter in terms of balance, though.

Also I don't have enough money lying around to spend 20 bucks on a game that play 100% on Xbox 360, but if I do get enough money in the future I will get it for the PS3 and host tournaments there!
They aren't many dedicated fliers in Capcom's universe. Technically Trish isn't a flier either... I mean she is as much of a flier as Dante is but they made her a complete flier and Dante less of one.
Jedah would be a flier as would Q Bee. Nina from BoH. Maybe if they wanted more DMC characters they could add in Mundus as a Dorm style character. Maybe Alastor from Viewtiful Joe.
But beyond that I have trouble coming up with many fliers. Maybe that random ass guy from Dark Void... LOL!
