Thanks Soriku. I know what you are talking about. I got to the set of knights past the circle and figured I wasn't strong enough yet to tackle that area.

As long as you have a decent weapon, like a Shortsword or Broadsword you can beat the knight at the end. Just have to be able to dodge everyone first, and fight quick.

Apparently there's a samurai sorcerer that has a chance of spawning in the belfry on NG+? Haven't seen him yet. And killing him counts towards ranking up in the covenant, even though you're not a ghost? Hidden weapon is the only spell I have left and I want to take care of this quickly.

I really hate that they moved the jump to L3, I just lost 20k souls because of it. I literally pressed it 3 times and my character did not jump at all. Just fell right off the bridge at undead purgatory trying to get the bone dust. So fucking stupid.

You can change it back, bro.

You can change it back to O in the option menu. I can't jump with L3 either.

You can switch it back to O in the settings.

There are some jumps in the game which seem impossible without the L3. The timing is much better. And I thought I'd stick with O once I got the game.

so, what are the bosses weapons that are the best for a melee build? more str than dex, I use greatbow and shield too, so I would like to know what is good for trade, since most weapons dosen't look that good

Should I do it even then? I'm not very good yet so I'm dying a ton. I've heard some people save them for right before bosses.

another thing to do when you're not very sure of yourself yet is to put down summon signs early in a level, rather than next to the boss. you'll get a chance to basically risk free get a better feel for what's next, and hopefully help someone else a little. You'll accrue skill and souls.

Saw two knights fighting......reacted to soon and killed one of them. Pate (i think hes called) lives. Did I fck it up

Anybody tried some Darkdrift Katana PVP? Seems like a turtle wrecker.

Personally I don't like the thrust that much (and people will probably find it predictable after a use or two), plus for turtlers it'd be more effective just to get a guard break on them.

Someone else might be more effective with it. But I'd just go with a stronger weapon myself, and try to get a guard break against turtlers.

I don't use boss weapons, but for Str, Mastodon Halberd and Mastodon Greatsword are really good (Halberd for PvE, GS for PvP). They look alright too.

It's a shame the Gyrm great axe is outclassed by the normal Gyrm axe on the damage front due to scaling and well not being heavy. The Gyrm great hammer is not to shabby either that moveset is quite nice.

Do I lose my rank if I change a covenant? I mean, supposing I'm rank 2 at Blue Sentinels and I change to Sun-bros, if I want to return to Blue Sentinels do I start over again or I continue from my rank from before I changed?

yeah, I read that MGS (snaaaakeee, ok, no) is great for str based builds, lame that boss weapons are pretty much bad, wondering what to do with all these boss souls

Just completed the game for the first time, 25:16 which is half as long as Dark Souls took me lol. Time to finish up and move on to NG+!

I used the Smelter Sword on my STR build and it's fun. It does less physical damage than other UGS I have but it does fire damage. I think it's outclassed by the Black Knight Ultra Greatsword in that respect too.. but it's still more than adequate for a late game / pvp weapon.

How is that even possible? I'm at around 40 and I just got to the
castle
. Did you just speed run through everything?

I'm about to head to NG+ and missed this :( I came across
Pate
a few times and
Creighton
I think only once. Where does this take place?

I don't think I've missed a lot, I've explored pretty much everything there was to see. I just left the
Sentinels and Smelter Demon (gave up after 1 try since I found a bonfire after him haha)
since I found them pretty hard :p.

Anyone have a character near 250k soul memory?

In the middle of a No Death/No Bonfire run and have 100k souls and no way of getting back to Majula besides risking going for the Primal Bonfire.

I'd appreciate it if someone could come drop me a homeward bone.

I'd imagine your run looked a bit like this.

you missed so many things

That's great for a first playthrough.

I went out of my way to do just about everything in my first playthrough and kinda regret that there isn't more to discover. I mean I enjoy having a broader knowledge of the game but there's an appeal to having so much mystery, too.

If I wanted to make a dual-wielding/pyro build how much should I increase int/faith? How much do they scale?

Fire damage will scale with either faith or int, so any points in either will help, or you could just focus on one or the other. Whereas lightning is faith only, magic is intelligence only and dark requires both.

Fire damage scales well but I've found pyro to be pretty good without any investment.

I killed them both. This happens in
Brightstone Cove Tseldora after meeting up with pate and Creighton in every instance they appear in the world.

I thought I'd done almost everything in my first game but last night in my second game I found two more bonfires!

And no requirements in either stat for pyro either, huh? I think I remember reading somewhere that pyro scales to the sum of faith and int while dark scales to the highest of either one - I guess they were mistaken.

25 hours for a first playthorugh is pretty much impossible, lol. You must have missed a lot more stuff than that ;)
