Dark Souls II |OT2| Prepare to Vengarl

What is everyone's ADP at? I'm faith build with 12 currently. I keep hearing its not as useful. Should I just redo my stats and get that down to min?

Just use Attunement to get your Agility stat up to around 90 or so.

I have around 20 ADP on my melee dude and it's pretty good spot for i-frames. I have another over-leveled character with 40 and the sub 50% rolls with all those i-frames is amazing, but it's not entirely necessary for success.

It's just a Wanderer set.
The swordsman starter set? That's cool then. I hate the hunter set too. When I see those DS1 sets I'm like 'ewwww that is like sooooo last season!', lol.

If you have a Faith build there is an extremely good reason for being in Blue Sentinels.

Wrath of the Gods is uber in DSII and can hit close to 2k HP as a fast, difficult to dodge AOE.

Sunbro reward isn't bad either as
Sun Sword is one of the better weapons in the game.
150 kills for
WotG
? - Sheesh, it would be quicker for me to buy them from the dude in Drangleic Castle.

I think I'm one of three guys here who really liked that area.

I love it, one of my favorite areas in all 3 games. It's frustrating, but it's really beautiful. I actually like that it's very difficult to just run past to the boss. So many difficult areas in DS are trivialized (such as Tomb of the Giants) because you can just run through and avoid the harder enemies. I like that they changed this in DS2 in general.

Loved the look and atmosphere but I also loved the enemy placement. No stupid mobs.

I still prefer the level design of Dark Souls over 2.. Blighttown was one of the my favorite areas.. Other than Lost Bastille, I didn't notice any levels that were huge.. 1 had Blightownm Anor Lando and Sen's Fortress..

Completing that place without a bow was... something.

Actually, I never used a bow (or any other ranged weapon, neither any magic excluding weapon buff), both in DS1 and DS2.

This is the first time I've never had a bow and I miss it. But with a sword, staff and pyromancy glove in my right hand already, a bow would be overkill.

Even having 3 things is annoying. Next build, no magic.

For awhile I was using the Avalan.. But I traded for a Bow of Want and with my Int and Faith it scales so well that I did massive dmg per arrow.. The DragonSlayer Greatbow takes too much stam per shot for me..

Shit, I should go get that Dragonslayer Greatbow. I have the Dragonrider Bow and it's been working great, but I could use more oomph....

Dragonrider bow lacks range. The Bow of Want does the dmg of the greatbow(without the stun of course) and shoots quickly like a shortbow.. That's if you have Hex based stats..

Oh joy, oh fucking joy. I pulled that lever in the Keep, and now the asshole mage I freed wants me to die. I was just minding my own fucking business when out of fucking nowhere the wall explodes killing me. Why the fuck couldn't he just use the door? "Hey Alim, I'm here to wreck your shit and I got a big fucking ogre to bash your head in". What a jackass.

I've had my Alonne greatbow +5 for a while now it's great for Drangelic castle I might actually get in the front door soon.

I went to the bottom of black gulch there's not a reaction GIF to sum up how big a mistake / surprise that was.

Am I missing something? The wiki says it does lightning damage and has no intelligence requirement. You don't need to be speced into hexes to make the most of it, just faith.

Why did you ignore the signs!
Pull back. Pull back.
Pull back pull back pull back.
PULL BACK
Don't you dare!

Well... You did ignore the warnings.. And the ogre is not the mages' doing.

Yeah I'm sorry I'm pure melee so that colored my comment to the point it probably reads absurd to others.

To the guy asking about ADP, I ended up at 26 - it was the number that with my other stats gave me 100 Agility.

There's one a little before the Covetous Demon fight. In the area with the poison vases and hammer guys, there's a bottom floor that leads down some stairs to a hallway (where the poison "pool" is) it's in the room there, but you'll need a Pharros lockstone
Ah, I figured. Appreciate it.

Yeah as a melee the covenants don't have much unless you like scythes (Bloodbros) or straight swords (Sunbros).

I have several melee only characters (prefer those actually) and just use covenants for sparring (PvP) or just to have a cool golden summon sign for co-op (when I don't feel like duels which is most of the time). XD

only if you forsake Soul Series rule #1: Always bring a bow.

Nah, Souls rule #1 is "l2dodge".
Rule #2 is "Don't be Adventurer B".

Sea Bow is best Bow.

Reminds me of the Sticky Composite Bow +5 from Demon's Souls.

DPS, shot range and it's light. Perfect bow. Don't even need dex for it to be strong either, just minimum requirements and then use it as a STR build.

Still can't connect to the servers this is pissing me off and ruining my experience with this game.

No issues on Live. Is anyone else having issues on the PS3 version?

Random thoughts, but I want to make a Dark Souls dedicated site. Eventually, it will have stats and gameplay information. However I want to start out on the Lore. Art, Renders, Rips, etc.

Gonna roll a dex/pyro build tonight and see how that goes. My first str/faith character is in the middle of NG+ but I don't really feel like doing that right now.

People who are doing caster builds need to realize that leveling ATT raises Agiltiy, which is the only reason to level ADP.

In my opinion ADP is only worth it if you're a melee only character who is feeling a bit sluggish. After abandoning the stat after my first character I really don't notice a difference.
