Dark Souls II |OT2| Prepare to Vengarl

Now with my SL28 character I'm being ganked with high level players and I have no way to prevent that.
I have a high soul memory because I was helping others in co-op and exploring a lot without leveling up.

I don't know how I feel about this but for sure it will make arranging co-op/pvp with someone you know much harder like this since you can't prevent soul memory from increasing.

What have you done with your 2 millions souls if you are only Sl.28? I have 1.8 million and am Sl.136.

Might I also recommend some of the following for a strength build: Claymore, sea bow, maces (get two so you can power stance), bastard swords (sake reason as the maces) and Gyrm axes.

As for armor I'm wearing this at varying states of upgrades:

Alonne captain.

How does GAF feel about Twinblades?

The times I've fought pvp against someone with twinblades I've been slaughtered. If you have a short range weapon it is really difficult to fight against it, I imagine it would be easier with a long range weapon. I might not be the best judgeof it since I have faced it so few times, though.

I'm getting ganked by the same player over and over again in the mirror knight fight. I think the boss fight might be impossible when it summons another player.

Nothing has terrified me more than a human summon coming out of that mirror. I'd say summoning is legit tactics in that situation.

Not really, can't find anything at NG++ SL 210. Even Benhart is missing, I think I lost him somewhere.

Did you exhaust all of Benhart's dialog in NG++? I'm not sure if it's required for him to move on or not, but it's definitely not something I would think to do past my first NG.

I probably didn't. There's a buttload of players here now. This must be the easiest way to get 500 kills for the covenant. I think I'll just turn off my cross region play.

only a handful of weeks until the PC release, can't wait to jump back in.

We're also going to lap the Titanfall OT by the end of the week :o :O

Finished my first run last night at SL 145. I was a pure melee build with a focus on dex, by the end my weapons of choice were Black Knight Halberd +5, Dark Uchigatana +10, Blacksteel Katana +10, and Fire Murakumo +10. The BKH was my bread and butter much like the first Dark Souls, it felt good taking down the final boss with that thing.

So I did all the
memory
stuff and took out
Vendrick and the Ancient Dragon
. Any tips on stuff to clean up before NG+?

I missed out on a ton of Estus Shards. Check guides for the rest.

lol, great video.

I respecced my sorcerer halfway through this playthrough to go full on hex. 30/30 for INT/FTH just now, 18/18 for DEX/STR. Can 1 hand my dark moonlight greatsword. On my way to the Undead Crypt for a weapon and to join Darkdivers covenant. I only have 1 great boss soul as well lol, over 1 million souls memory.

Dark Damage still seems a little weak, stronger than magic spells, but weaker than lightning (the covenant +20% damage ring will help). I'm using the Staff Felkin gives you, upgraded to +3, and the idols chime. About to pickup the Caitha (sp?) chime in Drangleic Castle, once I manage to clear out this damn room with all the gold sentinels is it? Tough fucking room. I think that combo will maximize damage more so than the Black Witch Staff that casts everything. While convenient, I don't think it's good for min/maxing.

Looking forward to trying out a load of weapons with dark infusion, the MGS is good, but a bit slow. Might try a whip as well!

Seems like getting +10 is beneficial atleast in that set. And yes using regular titanite to upgrade armor is good thing to do but using Twinkling Titanite isn't IMO because it is so rare and I find it more useful to upgrade weapons than armor pieces.

I feel like an idiot even considering it, but I'm really tempted to upgrade the Throne Watcher armor (at least the chest). Looks amazingly cool for my Str/Faith build, but there's also so many weapons I want to upgrade and try out.

Anyone out there use the red rust sword? Thinking about upgrading that since I have 50 strength, and just maxed out my King's ultra greatsword, that thing is a monster.

Just found the Scorpion dude in Shaded Woods after beating the area weeks ago (went back to get Ornifex). How do I talk to him?

Also, I now have 10 Estus Flasks +2. Is this normal for SL115 going into Iron Keep?

I just mistakenly wasted a titanite slap to upgrade the Fire Longsword..FUCKING GREAT.

Yeah, that's not a big deal. It's not bad at all, especially if you're like me and mostly use big slow weapons and need a fast one. Besides, Slabs are basically infinite in this game, I'm currently sitting on 10.

whisper ring
buy it from the cat.

What armor did you guys finish the game with? I went with the Looking Glass Knight Set. The helm is a little weird but I really like it overall.

Switched mostly between Alonne Captain/Knight and Faraam's. Might upgrade Alva's and try some lighter armor. I wish the boss armor didn't take Twinkling to upgrade, I really like a lot of them such as Throne Watcher.

Where do I get that?!

Big knights at
Dragon Shrine
. Got a ton of the stuff.

I have a story question, but please answer only with information that is available before the U
ndead
C
rypt
(the last location I played). I do not want to know what's coming next. I'm just curious because the stakes actually seem murkier, up to this point, than they were in the previous games. Here's the question:
Emerald Herald says I need to walk the king's path if I want to become the next monarch, but has anyone in this game explained why I should want to become the next monarch?

Fuck, they never dropped any armor for me. Guess I'll try farming there until I exhaust that area.

Now lv 242. Took 217,000 soils to level up and sure is going up quickly. Lol. Luckily I can get that amount easily without grinding.

Focusing on ATT currently and trying to get it to 94 for max spells uses. Also my agility is now at 107 and really noticing a difference in speed.

I never used a full set of anything. Early on I had Old Knight armor drop from the guys in Heide's Tower and I kept that for the whole game because it had the best poise to weight ratio of any armor I ever saw. Better than Havels, better than anything. Even looking on the wiki the only armor with a better ratio is dragon rider armor which isn't until NG++

I then used the jester cap for more enemy drops, jester gloves for more souls, and havel legs once I could roll in them.

so, are pharros lockstones limited or is there a way to farm unlimited stones? i'm all out and i never even opened the door of pharros.

Dragonrider armor?! Does the armorer sell it just like the other boss sets? Are there any others only in NG++? I'm about to start on that.
