Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Who would you like instead?

A question to a question yeah but if not them then who else would be great to see in?

Still waiting on that Ness / Lucas reveal. :P

Edit:

That's a hint.
X to be featured in the Smash Direct.

God I want this to happen... funny though because as I said, she does seem to hint whenever X is featured in something but at the same time, I'm still grasping. :P

I know it's not directed at me but I don't specifically want those characters either. They haven't proven that they are 'Classic' or timeless, which is something I like in a smash character. Characters like Ike and Lucas (and Wonder Red and Shulk) don't fit in with my character preferences. Just because you've had a recent game doesn't mean you should be a smash character.

Instead, I'd want:
1. Revamped special moves and final smash for falco
2. Revamped gannondorf
3. Toad (or pair with toadette)
4. Bowser Jr.
5. Pokemon Rival w/ 3 different Pokes
6. Palutena

Doesn't Palutena fit into the "Just because you've had a recent game" category?

Palutena was also part of the first two KI games, and she was even a trophy in Brawl. She has made a successful recent comeback from the 8-bit days and deserves a slot. Similar to why I think Marth still deserves a slot.

Palutena was in the original game tho. Also, That uprising personality.

Exactly, she was only an interesting character in this past game. Pit makes sense because he's who the player has controlled since the first game.

In any case, I'd love for her to be in the game, as well as Shulk and Wonder Red. I think of the three, Palutena is most likely, but Shulk is my most wanted. Wonder Red is least likely and my least wanted of the 3.

Man, I have this song on Final Destination of my Project M build and I swear to God, it unlocks the second Gamecube in me or something when I play to it. :lol

Damn, for the first few seconds I legitimately thought this was from Final Fantasy VII

I feel really stupid, but who exactly is this and why are they relevant? I feel out of the know.
She works for Monolith Soft and is kind of the face of the company. At least to us.
Any time she tweets about a Direct we get info on a game from them.

Soraya Song is the wife of the co-founder of Monolith Soft, Tetsuya Takahashi. He's also the director of Xenoblade and is also working on "X".

She also tends to hint a lot any time "X" might show up so this is why it COULD be possible that we might see something Xenoblade appear in Smash or maybe a new X trailer at this direct if they focus on other games too (which, apparently, is not the case).

Or... it could also be that she's just legit hyped for Smash... hence the grasping part. :P

I thought it was because he didn't have a fairy talking for him all the time lol.

I say it's because he's not the protagonist. Isaac is silent in Golden Sun, talks in GS2: The Lost Age, and GS3: Dark Dawn. Felix talks in 1 and doesnt speak in 2

It's because Link is the protagonist

Ahem, Link DOES talk in all Zelda games. It's just that we as players don't get to hear what he says.

It's done to maintain the illusion that we are the player character and as such, the main Link in a given Zelda game possesses our "voice" or will.

At least, that's how I always understood it.

Strange thing happened to me this morning. I just woke up without any hype for Smash Direct, so I guess my conscience and body basically tell hype energies to fuck off until Tuesday Morning, I'm pretty sure.

At this point, it's mostly just tradition.

No one wants to be the one to make Link talk and for it to be awful.
