Got my Birth of Rockin' Jelly Bean artbook today. So awesome. I didn't realize it was hardcover.
I got it framed myself at a local store. I also ordered the poster for the second movie and will get it framed as well when it gets here.

Yes to everything about this. I actually like all 3 of Aniplex's prototypes so far, although the other Homura isn't painted.
Yeah I heard it was pretty hype. Just never got around to it.
People at the post office were bewildered at the fact that it took the clerk 4 minutes to find and carry my package to me. A little girl said "wow" when I got my box. It was funny.

I've been thinking of tracking it down because it's the only Needless figure that was made available, but I can't help think that the paint job isn't that great.
Been thinking of grabbing the Max Factory Zero Suit Samus as well, but I also really want to get this gem. I can't decide D:

Meh. If you could find it for like, $20 or something, sure. But I wouldn't pay more than that. It really doesn't compare quality-wise to what you can buy now. Even if they didn't make many figures based on a given franchise, you don't need to buy whatever they do release in order to justify your fandom. Especially if it's not high-quality.

It looks...fine? Maybe $20-$30 seems an appropriate price for it. I wouldn't go crazy far over that.
Eh I feel the opposite. I'd rather dedicate my resources to a single show or a select few that I feel really passionate about, buying as much as I can both low and high end. Not because I feel obliged or forced. On the contrary, I feel so because if I love a character and show so much I want to indulge in them as much as possible. That doesn't mean you should pay over the odds for something however.
Why do you think I'm buying those kill la kill figures? Because I love the show and characters so I want to have them on my shelves. I have better ways to spend my money all things considered but if I love a show soo much I feel that I want my collection to be a visual representation of that love.

Hmmm, I'm going to have to seriously budget this time around. I won a PS4 this week and now I need a cheap HDTV to play it on, might not even be able to buy Eve
These two figures are easily some of the best figures to come out this year so far. I expected Tharja to be godly, but I'm super impressed with Raidou. He's flawless, and pretty damn big for a 1/8. If you're into SMT or just good figures in general, consider buying him when he's cheaper or used. Megahouse outdid themselves.

Glad to hear Raidou is awesome, just a damn shame that it's the figure that Megahouse priced higher than their regular line ups...then again it's Raidou!! Hope Atlus makes another based on him soon T-T

There's a sentence I never thought I'd hear. But they have been doing some great work. Although a lot of their stuff can be hit-or-miss, there are some figures they did a great job with. Risty, for example. <3

Alphamax Sorceress 1/8th Scale, so she's the smallest of the 3 figurines in my small collection.
I'd say they captured how ridiculously interesting the character design in Dragon's Crown is.

ROFLMAO those breasts! In-game and in the official artwork, her boobs are maybe half that size. AlphaMax really took it over the top. It's a very nice quality figure, and the detailing is quite nicely done, but holy crap they just went too far.

The Alter one? Doubt it. Scaled figures may have swappable parts, but they're never poseable. The only one I recall where you could swivel her head was the Mass Effect Shepard bishoujo.

Yeah that's what I liked most about Bishoujo Shep, guess you can't always get what you want. I'm going to have to sleep on this before I punch in that preorder.
I hope we get Thanatos in their Game GX line next. They seem to be sticking to Atlus characters and the P3 movies are still coming out.

I can understand that. His prize figure isn't enough, and his other figures are 1/10 scale, which sucks.
A Haruka fig. Funny, found it for 8000+ in Osaka but it was only 4000 in Tokyo. Also found the Haruhi movie nendo.

It's really annoying when I think about it the so, so, so many figures Aegis have gotten XD, I mean I get the appeal but I want a Minato/Makato scaled T-T...I thought a movie would have upped the chance X'D

The Haruhi figure seems like a good find, especially when it was released several years ago. And it was a good thing you shopped around for that Haruka, saved a bundle, I remember overpaying only slightly for a figure and found it cheaper in another shop after I bought it from the expensive one T-T

Updated collection, moved some of the figures around to make room for new arrivals. I may not have glass shelves or amazing setups, but it's looking a lot more pleasant now that I have all my Gainax/Imaishi figs in one spot.
