Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Does it matter? Miis are the way they are because they're suited to the settings they are positioned in. If you don't like them, fine, but they don't look out-of-place in their world. Just about anything else would.
In a set of high quality characters, they look very out of place.

And I only said what I did because you created some weird dichotomy with no basis in reality.

I didn't even know there were Mii defenders.

like on the show floor? I'm expecting the 3DS/Wii u version playable on the E3 Nintendo booth and then pax prime and any other expo til release

:'( I'll be so jelly and salted

demo available after the direct would be amazing, Wii u only, can only download within 1 hour , Wii u super ambassador :p >:)

Yeah i think so, they might start showing moves of some new characters like when they announced megaman. Like this

I mean, G&W is pretty out of place too
That is part of what makes him amusing. But his differentiation is highlighted to bring forth an interesting character (choppy animations, etc.). At some time, G&W was graphically impressive. He is a throwback. The same cannot be said for Mii. In a game filled with Nintendo favorites, who wants to play as a goddamn Mii? They will always be abominations in Nintendo's history, like the Virtual Boy.

To you.

You have to remember Smash isn't only for one person. There are many people who like Miis and would like them in Smash.

Oh. I'm sorry, I thought you were trying to make a serious argument. You're being a little silly. They've been on two generations of consoles now, and have been appearing in pretty much everything Nintendo puts out. They're a huge part of Nintendo.

A huge, ugly part of Nintendo.

Miis have gotten better over time but I cannot see them in smash. They're a player avatar, they don't have any special traits or qualities of any sort.

I don't detest them like Karsticles but Smash is a game about awesome legacy Nintendo characters, not little bobble heads meant to represent a person. I'm not going to be surprised if they make it in, but I'm hoping Sakurai doesn't include them (this is coming from someone cool with the Wii Fit character).

I want to play as my Mii... :x

Let's go Robocop! Time to roll that bowling ball!

They have their own games (which are featured as stages). That's enough content to assign qualities to them, about as much as someone like Villager has anyway.

Animal Crossing has enough unique and somewhat iconic actions associated with it that the villager is somewhat feasible. Outside of some sporting equipment and maybe some of the streepass game stuff (the former could easily be represented in WFT), what exactly do they have? Wonder Red/Hades first.

There's nothing wrong with thinking about Mii's the way you do; I feel similarily towards Pac-Man's potential inclusion. However, when you start labelling others who may support the idea of Mii's in the game things like depraved, your argument starts looking pretty sour thanks to the ad hominem nature its gotten.

I wouldn't want Mii's to be included, either. It would start to feel like Nintendo's past, great legacy is getting a little watered down. However, these Mii's are now part of who Nintendo is, and including them is representing Nintendo for what it is now.

Do they need anything else? You just described a full potential moveset. If anything they have more than WFT, who only has exercise moves.

Mii are an integral part of Nintendo's current consoles. More so than any other recent character, Miis are quite literally the face of the Wii, the Wii U, and to a lesser extent the 3DS.
Not that I would want them in Smash, personally, but it's not that far-fetched to expect them, or like them either. Alone the fact we got 2 Mii-related stages (Tomodachi Collection and Find Mii) should already be an ample hint at their franchises getting in on dat Smash booty.

Of course! But we won't find that out for a while. Lol. It's a week at lowest.

Just for the record, I love your current avatar (the bat that's getting zapped in the ass).

I am not making an argument. I am saying that Miis are disgusting. This is like an argument about food. I am not going to make an "argument" about whether Crave Real Burger is better than Burger King. The latter is simply grotesque.

Also, ad hominem arguments attempt to make logical points through personal attacks. If I said "Oreomunsta has to be bad at Smash - he likes Miis", that would be an ad hominem. If I say "People who like Miis have poor taste", I am not making a logical argument. That is a valuation. There is no fallacy.

Edit: I am glad we can agree that Miis represent a watered-down Nintendo. ;) Hopefully they will wisen up soon, since they are fixing so many wrongs already this generation.

Smash Bros. is the ultimate crane game.

That toy could be your greatest wishes. A piece of music, your most wanted character or that one locale from that one game you played 3 years ago or 23 years ago.

Even after being crushed, you keep on playing it because you just never know when the crane will deliver.

Protip: America rigs the things with crappier equipment and equally dirty plushies. Back in Japan, you could actually win at them more often than not. You know where Smash Bros. is being developed?

Riddle Doo confirmed

I want Miis in the game. Not because I like them or anything, but because I want to hear the announcer dude yell "MEEE!" and imagine him looking like the selected Mii.

though i wont be as harsh as karsticles i really dont wanna see mii's in my smash bros(as playable characters) and i dont see sakurai adding them. i mean i really dont wanna see naruto or goku clones online (love the series just feel like they dont belong). Miis can have their time in mario kart, mario tennis, and mario golf. Let the nintendo allstars have their spotlight.

Help me guys.

Direct airs at 6am at 9th here. Does that mean I have to sleep early? D:

That and arcade owners like to rig them too.

How am I ridiculous?

Miis are the second worst character that could be added to the game!
He was saying you're being ridiculous to call people depraved because they like Miis.

It's okay to not like them, just don't insult people who do.

And yea, this definitely is going no where.

And Krystal is the worst character that could be added to the game. Waluigi is second worst. :p

who is the worst
Krystal, duh. She is on her own level of "Idk".

I know what he is saying, but I find taste to be a defining feature of human life. The point of these forums is fo debate these things. Notice that no one has tried to tell me that Miis are great, or has tried to list their virtues. They have no redeeming qualities. I feel embrassed every time Nintendo parades them around at E3. They are a huge part of why kids don't go for Nintendo anymore. They are like Teletubbies in quality. Awful.

The worst being Krystal, right?
Or Geno
Geno is irrelevant, but I don't see a reason to actually oppose his inclusion. He was cool in SMRPG. There are definitely more desirable characters, but Geno would not upset me.

I always remind myself that there is no rhyme or reason behind a Smash roster in its totality.

Miis got like 3 stages so far, time to accept it
I sincerely doubt anyone will main the Mii when the game launches. There are too many actually good characters to use. The exemplar of a wasted slot.

Yeah it's at 8am for me, think I'm going to have to get up and showered before 8 so it doesn't make me late for stuff. Which means I need to get up earlier than normal, which means I have to go to bed earlier the night before D:
