One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
This is like Mangaf reading Nisekoi redux.

Guys when are we going to get a Spring thread. I use the OT of each thread to get an idea of what to watch or whats even on to watch so it would be a great help :p

Who plays the part of Angry Grimace?
This is a good question. I don't think anyone here is angry enough to be Grimace.

Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou Episode 1

I thought about mid way through that they were gonna ruin this one by having the female lead be a typical hard to reach iceberg of a personality trope, but they pulled it out of the fire at the end.

3 episode rule applies here, I think.

Sure enough, Crunchyroll will also be simulcasting Hero Bank, the adaptation of the 3DS game. Mondays at 4:00am PDT.

an elementary school boy who has amassed a 10 billion yen debt! The only way he can pay it off is to master “Hero Gi” and win matches in a futuristic cyber sport called. “Hero battle.”
This sounds terrible, but in all likelihood it'll be more worthwhile than Mahouka.

So I finished the main storylines of all 4 schools in Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, and felt that I had to create a ranking of my top 8 girls.

SPOILERS SOMEWHAT, DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED

7. Murakumo

WAoggps.jpg

I just wished she would've kept the mask off all the time. Her
nervous, squirly voice manages to capture my heart every time.

6. Haruka and Ryouna

Super 'S' meets Super 'M' and my god was their dialogue a sight to behold. Major respect for both of the girls' VA work because by the end of it I was fanning myself due to how steamy it got. I pray that in every following sequel these two have a scene together because I don't think I would be able to settle for anything less at this point.

5. Yumi

New character from Gessen Girls School. Awesome design, awesome voice, and awesome powers. Big points for her
for pointing out the obvious romance between Homura and Asuka.

4. Homura and Asuka

The OTP of Senran Kagura continue to wow us with both their skill and their overwhelming dedication to one another. Homura is so tsun for Asuka it hurts and you can't help but hug a nearest pillow as you witness her stammering like a fool whenever Haruka questions her true motives for seeing Asuka. Yumi also takes notice of this relationship and wonders how a ninja of shadow and one of light can be together so easily.

3. Yozakura

It's like BIG O in the body of a high school girl. Her gauntlets are absolutely wicked and her level 2 ninpo can one shot people if done in a wide area. Her nature to be proper and ladylike works well with Katsuragi's lustful personality, which led to hilarious conversations.

2. Imu

New character from the rebuilt Hebijo school who is head over heels in love with her squad leader Miyabi. She has a harsh personality, treating even her own sister like shit
though it is explained as to why and rectified later
. She has a serious yet confident personality and above all else is loyal to Miyabi to the 'T'. She also uses a bo staff and can quickly and easily fuck things up in a flash.

1. Hikage

Easily my favorite character in the game. Since we saw her last in Burst, she's made major improvements in regards to reading the mood and handling conversations, while still having her emotionless tone and laidback nature in tact. She's incredibly fast with amazing damage and arguably one of the best characters in the game.

Characters that can't be ranked because they're too godlike: Daidouji & Rin

Forget the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Saki Cinematic Universe is the true hype. lol
It's going to take so long to get to the end of Saki that I'm sure the franchise will have as many characters as Marvel/DC by the time its over. The Sakivengers crossover movie is a no-brainer!

One Week Friends

Baaaaaaka.

So you know, this show has a weird gimmick similar to Golden Time where the girl forgets everything after one week. But why I don't mind this even though in Golden Time it got ridiculous is that a) it's not medically explained right off the bat and b) there is no pseudo-supernatural ghost-id-memory thing to complicate matters. Also, while it's used to create drama, they give you the premise of the show right off the bat, so it's probably not going to be used to create a love triangle for the sake of doing so.

As a romcom/shoujo, it's fairly charming though. The leads are likeable and it has that shoujo-ey filtered look.

Probably the romcom of the season anyway.

Nothing to say here, other than the subber ain't giving any fucks. I wonder if it's the guy who used to post here and who did the Squid Girl subs. lol

Huh? What did I say? Did I screw up again? :(
Haikyuu!! - 01

This gave me a Big Windup sort of vibe (a good thing) with a tiny bit of DTL sprinkled in there.

Haikuu!! 1

Opening: Best OP song of the season. So good~
Ending: I'm reminded of country music. I hate country music.

Liked it.

Had some nice scenes and the protagonist is growing on me already.

I'm guessing Sho and King are OTP?

Works for me.

Now comes the dilemma of deciding to wait until the season is over to start the manga or just indulge myself right away.

One Week Friends Episode One:

Holy fuck that was boring, couldn't even wait for the gimmick to kick in, watching boring people doing nothing almost put me to sleep. If this series really wanted my rapt attention the spastic moron they call a MC would have his head ripped off in 5 minutes. Anyway, back to the ether with this one
where it will probably take me at most a day to forget I ever watched this tripe.

The World is Still Beautiful 1:
That was pretty enjoyable, after not really knowing what to expect. It's not the best looking show, but the story seems pretty intriguing after one episode, and I'm interested to learn more about the world. I think they did a rather effective job of creating a suitable atmosphere for that one city, so I'm interested to get a broader sense of what this world is like, and see where the story goes. Nike is a pretty likable character, with a lot of spunk, although also very much a traditional sort of lead girl. But the first episode showed some nice heart, and I really enjoyed the music.

About the only thing I really didn't enjoy very much was that random comedy villainous duo, who too quickly seemed to devolve into breaking the fourth wall randomly and just doing random acts that didn't make any real sense.

Lol. Loved Big Windup.

It's always been a favorite of mine. I hope a third season will come out soon.

You don't read/watch shojo do you?

This is the same small annoyance that I had with Inari last season. The manga is serialized in Gangan Joker, which is a shounen magazine. That's the demographic it would fit under, if anything. Demographics can have a fairly wide range of content in them.

Because it's the first real sports show that I watched, I like it too. (Momo is the best coach after all).

But god damn, it's also why I can't get through another sports anime that isn't by Adachi. Even Slam Dunk was too slow for me. :(

Yeah, it's an interesting world with an okay female protagonist. But the cartoon twist at the end with the prince makes me wary, because of The Last Exile: Fammy Fam Fam edition.

The only reason it's not pure shoujo is because the point of view tilts mostly towards the male protagonist. But really, boys are more interested in power levels and robot toys and boobalicious magical girlfriends, so I'm just more inclined to say a show like this is shoujo.

Hey, not all shoujo is Kimi ni Todoke!
Still the best shoujo, outside of Say I Love You. Four years and nothing even comes close to it. :(

That's a broad generalization. There are plenty of guys out there who'd be interested in a cute story like this. Like the ones in this thread. It's the same reason why Manga Time Kirara's readership is largely male.

Cute is justice!

Well, compare this show to the dozens of mecha/magical girlfriend shows this season and you'll see why I came to that conclusion. lol

Yeah, the bit at the end caught me off guard, although I'm interested to see where it goes (which could be a completely cliche place that causes the series to sink, or it could be handled in an interesting way).

Of course, if we just say 'boys are only really interested in these stories', and then say that stories outside of that set 'don't count as shounen' or something, then it kind of just becomes a complete loop.
