LOL, I ended up hitting Harvest Valley around level 70 because I didn't know how to get there until I'd already visited several other areas. I think that will happen regardless of which path you take when there are multiple options, at least if you make a decent amount of progress along that path and gain a corresponding number of levels before you visit the other areas. At that point you'll feel OP.
True, though 1 Soul Geyser does the damage of 3-4 GRS. With how easy Geyser is to farm and the Hexer's Hood, I'll take Geyser all day for bosses. Not to mention it only takes 1 attunement slot.

What is your primary goal to achieve in using a Bonfire Ascetic here? That would be the primary factor in which bonfire to use.
I did the same thing because I forgot about that contraption until I was lost and not knowing where to go so I ended up exploring Majula more. Pretty tricky. Another was at the forked road. I forgot how to get to that door that leads to the shrine of winter since It's kind of off on concealed path to the side.

Why am I not being summoned anymore? I'm not even 300k SM yet and nobody summons me. I;m confused did the game suddenly die online? I've seen a grand total of 1 summon sign in front of a boss today. 1. I'm really confused now.

I have noticed a drop off too. I think everyone's either not playing or in NG+.
I like the design of the area, it's just ugly as sin from a visual perspective. N64-era fog lol.
Earthen Peak and Brightcove Telsora are the ugliest areas in the game.
Time zones it picks up later and it seems that it's really dependent on the ability of others if you in pharros then you can't be summoned there I think other than as a grey spirit.

Maybe the launch hype for casul scrubs(no, I'm not entirely serious...) to play the game is over and only the Souls addicts are left.

I leveled up to BoB rank 1 last night with my DS2-is-broken-build. Won 90% of fights even when playing around. I think parries might be a bit to easy once again and balance is just pure lol imho.

Using Dark Chaos Blade with Resonant Weapon, killing most people in 2-3 hits or 1 critical. Will eventually spice down reqs to go 10/10 INT/FAI probably. Not sure where to put points, maybe END/VIG/ADP.
Anyone else into experimenting with (broken) builds interested in doing some sparring?

Grind some more souls, basically. Really happy with my armour, but want to get some of the boss weapons and level up vitality so that I can hit that magic 70% load figure and move a bit faster.

What do you hope to achieve for it? The jump from NG+ to NG++ isn't as big as NG to NG+, so if you can handle it - once your in NG+ it shouldn't be that big of a deal handling it on a 'NG++' difficulty.
I've done the Dragon Aerie a few times to farm for upgrade materials - the dragons are a bit harder, but not unbearable (and if you really need to - not hard to cheese them with poison, but all around found it less hassle to deal with them head on).
I did the one for the spider boss so I could get the MLGS before moving onto NG+ - although never use that weapon anyways so was a bit pointless. Was a bit trickier once I moved onto NG+, but not impossible.
Unless there are specific things that you want from NG+ that you want to get before moving there, or you want to farm an area for specific items - there isn't any reason to upgrade the bonfires.

Some should be pretty useful for everyone. I always use one for the Bellfry Luna Bonfire, the Undead Purgatory Bonfire and for casters Shaded Ruins and Undead Lockaway are pretty helpful too.
That's only for the Boss drops from ng+ though.

If just for souls for leveling up - co-op is your best option.
If looking for upgrade materials, Dragon Aerie - guaranteed to get a few dragon bones and higher end upgrade materials out of it between the dragons and crystal lizards. Since there is no boss of the area - don't need to worry about killing it before upgrading the bonfire again.
Aldias Keep can also be an option - the boss isn't that hard, and the acolytes can drop dragon bones.

I actually like Brightstone Cove from a strictly game and art design point of view. It feels a lot different than the other areas. Graphically it doesn't hold a candle to other areas though.

I only noticed a temporary freeze whenever I talk to the laddersmith. It freezes for like 2 seconds almost every time at that point.

I wasn't invaded outside of the bell towers until NG++. No clue if that means anything.
I'm 270 in NG++ and I feel like I get plenty of multiplayer. Was around 220 in NG+ and got plenty there. You should be fine I think
Invasions seem to target sinners first btw. So keep that in mind

I don't feel like my build is any cheaper than it was on 150. Mostly did it for more adaptability since I'm wearing practically nothing with 20 VGR and I like rolling around. I would still love to have plenty more stamina.

I got Lucatiel and Benhart trophies on NG+. Felt like they could take way more hits and deal more damage than in NG. But even if that is not the case the achievements are totally doable in NG+.
