Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

Well yo guys are thinking of something completely different

Thinking of this

Who would make a great retro representative

I thought of the same thing. Could be fun, although the only move I can even think of for them is the obvious one. Although I do think they could make a fun assist trophy if they were to be in the game.

DIGIMON people .... REALLY ????

GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF HUMAN !

& what's wrong with a digimon newcomer exactly? We would finally get poke'mon vs. digimon, which we could call the sequel to getting Mario vs. Sonic from last game.

Here are a list of some IPs that Nintendo owns that they've never used in Smash Bros before:

Baten Kaitos
Endless Ocean
Eternal Darkness
Fluidity
Freshly-Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland
Geist
GiFTPiA
HarmoKnight
Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru/For the Frog the Bell Toll
Kiki Trick
Nintendo Land
Odama
Rhythm Heaven
Soma Bringer
Spirit Camera (spin-off from Fatal Frame series)
StarTropics
Tomato Adventure
The Wonderful 101
Xenoblade (spin-off from Xeno series)
Zangeki no Reginleiv

Here are some IPs they own partial rights too, as they've bought or have funded the developers recent entries in the series (they've used IPs in Smash Bros from games they have this relationship with before):

Disaster: Day of Crisis
The Last Story
Fatal Frame
Pandora's Tower

IPs they own that have been used, but used very sparsely, in past Smash Brothers:

Battalion Wars
Captain Rainbow (we've seen a trophy from it in the new Smash Bros)
Chibi-Robo!
Clu Clu Land
Custom Robo
Devil World
Doshin the Giant
Drill Dozer
Duck Hunt
Elite Beat Agents
Excite Bike/Excite Truck
Golden Sun
Hotel Dusk: Room 215
The Legendary Starfy
Magical Vacation
Mario Party
Puzzle League (aka Panel de Pon)
Sin and Punishment
Steel Diver (got a weapon in the new Smash Bros at least)
Trace Memory

Not including stickers with this.

Edit: Moved a few items. Steel Diver and Captain Rainbow moved to used but barely in Smash Bros as I almost forgot Steel Diver got a weapon in this Smash Bros, and Captain Rainbow got a trophy of fat Little Mac.

Curious about a list of franchises that have only ever been published on Nintendo platforms (or are strongly associated with them) without Nintendo's direct ownership or financing. Professor Layton? Viewtiful Joe seems very Nintendo to me, regardless of his cross-platform heritage. Same with Rayman.

A lot of the Hudson properties also strongly feel "Nintendo" to me (even if they were on TurbografX, etc). Also should I edit to qualify / add to a post or just submit a follow-up post?

Just modify, I was thinking about it and sort of just made a base-list. I know I missed a lot, be interesting to get a whole list going, though I modified a few entries I had forgotten had appearances in this Smash Bros title as we've seen in screens (Steel Diver got a weapon, Captain Rainbow we've seen a trophy for).

There's a few I am certain will be included in this new Smash Bros in some way. Nintendo Land being a Wii U stage seems obvious, for example. Xenoblade was pretty successful (for what it was) and recent, likely get some form of representation, especially with X on-way to Wii U.

It gets a bit harder to predict what series Nintendo's used sparsely or never used they'll pick from there, though.

What about Dillon's rolling western, Pushmo, and Sakura Samurai?

Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru/For the Frog the Boll Tolls only had a sticker in Brawl i think. Always like the ways the character's looked in that one. Would make a nice trophy

I'll add those mentioned, I knew the list wasn't complete, and still missing a lot, but an interesting thing to consult. Nintendo has a lot of obscure IPs, to be certain.

Phoenix Wright and Bomber Man are perfect 3rd party characters for Smash. Many games on Nintendo consoles and their style fits with the rest of the cast. Rayman fits too but I don't see them adding him.

If you think nintendo's going to add any third party character that is niche, as in from a franchise that has never crossed a million(probably more), you might as well start hanging out with a hookah smoking caterpillar.
