The one in the room
with the trap platforms that fall.

How are you trying to get to it?
Are you trying to drop down from above? Using the silvercat ring and just chugging some estus flasks after landing helped me out a lot. It also puts you really close to the chest.

Huntsman Copse, second bonfire. Got invaded by a chump whom I was handling. He ran into enemies and THEY killed me.

Wacksauce lame.

Dark Souls II - Why is my account blocked/banned from using the Dark Souls II Servers?
Posted by chaos @BNGA on 03 April 2014 11:14 AM

It appears that the Dark Souls II server team has been going through the servers and banning/blocking players that have violated the End User License Aggreement. Players who use external save data, hacks, mods, or any other cheats/exploits are in violation of the EULA and your account will be banned if your profile/gamertag is found to be using them.

*Generally, you should receive a notice informing you to delete your save data within a certain amount of time or you will be banned/blocked from using the Dark Souls II servers.

If you believe that you have been banned/blocked from using the Dark Souls II servers by accident, please send an email to our support mailbox along with your gamertag/profile name, the system you are playing the game on and we will be able to inquire as to whether or not your account/profile ban status can be revoked.

In this order:
3 int,
8 int,
8 int + 8 faith

Really pissed me off...I blew 28k souls TWICE to get both the INT and Faith boost rings and got my INT/FTH up to 10 and those bottom two fuckers still wont yak. I really wanted Dark Pine resin from loser in Huntsman's. Note to FROM...what else did you think we would want to do with the rings????? At least it allowed me to use the friggin witches staff (low weight) to use hidden weapon for my DEX /Darkdrift chick.

Guys I need help with my build. My heide knight sword +6 ain't cutting it. I like to play with a shield but I also like to bring the hurt. I used a claymore lightning for dark souls 1. Amy suggestions?

Finally got the Platinum. I can move on now, RIGHT, GUYS?! RIGHT?!

Haha, we got ours at pretty much the exact same time! Like half an hour ago, finally did it!!

Such an amazing game. I'd love to start a new character and muck around with a dex build or something, but I've got a pile of PS+ games giving me the stinkeye right now.

I have a pile of games too, so it was time to move on.

You can go DEX STR or Quality (mix): I found the heide knight sword got me through to the Iron keep....(took it to +8 before switching?) where I picked up the others (Dex) below......
STR - Black Knight Greatsword - Greatsword - any other ultragreatsword.
DEX - Black Knight Halberd - katanas, Rickard's Rapier (early easy find at start of HUntsman's copse)., knives and curved swords are a little weak but with stone ring seem ALMOST viable....they suck on stone or steel bosses...so that's why I put BKH there first...you want to hit harder I guess, bring hurt with power, but also can bring hurt with stun lock?
Quality - you can actually do even better with the black knight weapons here also, but any of the old swords like claymore, bastard, Drangleic, etc work ok here...I cant recommend the claymore, too boring, just a preference, but its up to you.

The black knight weapons are solid, but really shine of you throw in a few INT and or FTH stats...the problem is finding the twinkling for them.

These are just sure fire recommendations, try branching out a bit and finding a unique weapon to upgrade...once you get the ability to upgrade better and get large shards and chunks you can upgrade whatever you want.

So I went back to playing some more today since I took time off to beat Infamous: Second Son yet I'm still fairly early into the game. I took on the Ruin Sentinals and got my ass rocked hard a couple times. Luckily I discovered a fairly easy tactic if you're struggling with them -- summon that NPC in the jail cell and basically keep forcing their attention on you, allowing the NPC to soul arrow them to hell until one is left and go in for the kill. Very intense boss fight!

Keep on truckin'...

Apparently people think I hate the game :lol. Finished, and despite what everyone thinks I loved every minute of it. I suck at video games, I really do, but, for some reason i did well in Dark Souls? Makes no sense. terrible ending, and meh final boss.

I loved it and all, but, I really wish the levels were bigger and some of the bosses were better. A lot of the bosses were piss easy to beat. Mirror Knight remains the only fucker to remain undefeated. I could dodge every other boss easily, but, Mirror Knight kicked my ass.

Hey brother, I'm gonna PM you within a minute or two. Could you respond, that would be fantastic! Don't want to shit this thread up.

I'm like a bad luck magnet.

How could I miss that? I guess I thought the tree giants were for late game stuff when I could not interact right away....How do you use them, and is there only one use?

You just use it as an item while you have an invader and monsters attack them too, as far as know. Haven't used mine yet, but I do believe they're one use.

And I don't think it's there when you first reach that area, since I'm pretty sure I checked the tree when I first got there, so it's understandable if you missed it the first time.

So.

Trying to get Lucatiel through the Flexile Sentry on NG+ without her dying. Just about to go in when I get invaded by a red spirit. Run back up on deck and look around. The guy is loading in on the planks leading up to the boat. Facing the water. Standing almost -off- the walkway - and his back is facing away from the ship.

So I run over while he's still loading, backstab, and the animation slides him out into thin air suspended over the water.

As soon as he gains control, he falls straight down and dies.

The real Dark Souls starts here.

I thought the Malformed Skull would be a good PvE weapon for NG+, but the durability on this thing is ridiculously bad. It uses up like 10% durability per swing. I couldn't even finish the first Dragonrider fight going in with full durability.

Do I need to do the Dragon Covenant if I want the platinum? There doesn't seem to be any need to get all boss weapons and such and while I got 22 dragon remnant kills tonight, getting to +3 seems unnecessary?

The only covenants required for the platinum are the Heirs to the Sun (need rank 3 for miracle) and the Bell Keepers (need rank 2 for sorcery).

Finally got the Chaos Blade. Time to BUFF IT UP.

It bothers me that the boss weapons are basically the only weapons with unique moves/movesets, but the items needed to upgrade them are so goddamn rare. You can break it by abusing ascetics at Aldia or the Aerie, but still.

Thanks. Is the claymore move set the same?

Is there anywhere early on you can farm titanite shards early into the game?

My fisticuffs co-op with Screaming Meat is quite material heavy I need at least 72 and that's 57600 souls to give to the stone trader lady that I'd rather use elsewhere.

Otherwise I'll accelerate out of co-op range that I'm already on the upper echelons of that range.

So how do melees win against magic users and how do i stop myself from getting backstabbed 142637 metres away from the other player?!

I haven't been following, is there any indication one way or the other whether the PC version is going to have the lighting from the old demos? It would be weird if the way everyone found out was from the Giant Bomb quicklook

Depends on the spell, you can roll to the side. Lag stab? You can't stop that.

So many damn Arbiter Spirits around Brightstone Cove Tseldora.

Serves me right for
Backhanding Gilligan down the well..wish we still had the kick for maximum Sparta

Roll with decent agility or use a shield that's been infused to ward against spells (Rebel Greatshield, Magic Magic Shield, etc). Keep up pressure. Hope you don't get clipped randomly.

About to start NG++, If I kill all the NPCs to get their armor or whatever else they drop, will that affect my NG++ playthrough in anyway? Or does it all reset.

You will build up Sin which will make you a target for Blue Sentinels. Other than that every NPC will be back to normal once you go into ng+.

I just won a battle against someone who gave me 500k+ souls! Weee

Also, I've noticed that the G
iant
L

is a good boss to farm for souls. Whole thing takes like 5 minutes top. And I get like 225k+ for the boss and another 40k from the enemies and boss soul each time.

I feel your pain from the other side. So many times I get lag where my very powerful spells hit the target dead on, with no shield, and does no damage nor slows them down. Yet I'll be stunlocked and hit from far away..

Not just Blue Sentinels, but other red invaders too! They target you quite often. I've actually seen a few repeat invasions from same people in a row. lol

Though I hate dieing in a cheap way (mostly from lag...), but this is a great way to get lot of souls. Most carry 100k+. And I try to carry a lot for those that win. :)

Hey guys so I fucking hate
Shrine of Amana
. I mean, yeah, just fuck this place
Binoculars+spells/bow/crossbow. Basically bring your best ranged attack.

I think the mage/cleric gankfest right before the 3rd bonfire is this games Anor Londo archers moment. SoA is really great for farming though. The Clerics have a very high drop rate on twinkling titanite, the mages less so, and those lizard things drop effigies pretty frequently too. I did a farming run tonight and got just under 30 effigies before the spawning stopped.

The area itself is one of my favourite in terms of the look of it, but I dislike the flat layout, I like verticality in areas, makes things more interesting.
