they would be extremely silly to release the 3DS version first imo. need dem Wii U sales. another prediction. early fall 2014 for the Wii U version and a special edition XL bundle for the 3DS in late November/early December

Well we already heard Miyamoto (or was it Iwata?) mention a "by the end of the year" for Wii U and nothing about the 3DS version yet. Whatever that meant.
Maybe it's just going to be a 30 Minute long short film without any Iwata/Sakurai interruption.

In honor of this direct, I will be playing my 3DS a lot today and it will be games featuring already confirmed characters.
Lineup includes:
Animal Crossing
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
Mega Man 2 or Mega Man 3 on VC
New Super Mario Bros 2 or Super Mario 3D Land
Pokemon X
Ocarina of Time 3D or Link Between Worlds
Kid Icarus Uprising (Palutena pls)
I think this is the most fun way to keep the hype going strong for me while also taking it easy because I didn't sleep well and now I don't feel well.

It really doesn't make sense to me why they would release a direct for a game more than 2 months away from release.

They don't do special Nintendo Directs for games (except announcement directs) more than a month of two in advance either, but here we are.
Edit: In the end a launch window means shit unless it is a month. Even so, if it is more than 3 months away the special direct is strange.
