Exactly. His move set could be similar to Link's in that he has different items other than his whip, like holy water, throwing axes, the knife, and the cross.

It wouldn't be so hard to balance.

He probably has enough from his sub weapons alone but I wouldnt mind an item crash, whip swing, or some of the n64 stuff being added. That said he better be damn heavy and come with a medusa AT and a clock tower stage.

Everyone's all about highly requested, super popular, but looking through a list of Nintendo IPs, what about games released in the 1980s that are dead now and almost no one remembers.

Like Urban Champion or Wild Gunman. I guess they're assist trophy tier like Excitebike. Still, who was asking for Game&Watch or Ice Climbers or R.O.B. (I like playing as R.O.B. but even so).

I guess the popular retro expectation is Takamaru from Mysterious Murasame Castle cause he appeared in Nintendo Land?

I always try to no build hype towards Nintendo Direct, but since I joined GAF I can not resist XD
I hope they show all veterans and an some unexpected new comers. Bayonneta, Sora, Impa,Bomber Man,Rayman, Raiden, if they want to put someone from Metal Gear, would be
great additions.
Also character from Namco would be interesting too, someone from Tekken or Tales of or Xenosaga ...

Classic Pac-man fits on a logical sense, but not in a practical one. New Pac-man doesn't fit at all.

Hell Pac-man makes a lot of sense since Namco is making the game and he has already been in Mario Kart.
