I'd totally play Pac-man if he is announced. I was Happy Little Mac(Finally!!) made it to smash.I feel Pac-man will fit right into the line up.

Also is Pokemon Trainer confirmed yet? i'd like to see Generation 2 Pokemon or the new X&Y Pokemon in this.

Ahhh... I'm all settled in, and ready to spend the next three hours on my computer with all of you fine blokes. There ain't NOTHING quite like sharing these directs with Ninten-GAF. Truly one of the finest pleasures the Internet has to offer me.

Now, are there any passenger tickets left for the hype train?

I got ya covered.

I want eggplant wizard as a playable. Give me him, Ridley and magically convert Skullkid from a trophy to a playable and I would be set.

And is it too much to ask for a Metroid stage that isn't a metal environment? Bring me back to Zebes.

Real talk: a wonderful 101 character would be so fucking awesome

Sakurai made a character out of Wii Fit Trainer. He made a character out of Captain Falcon. He made a character out of R.O.B. Stop setting yourself up to look like someone completely devoid of imagination or game design ideas. If Sakurai wants to make a character out of Pac-Man, he will find a way, and it will be awesome.

And really, Pac-Man is ripe with move-set material. Off the top of my head: His unique feature could be the ability to chomp through the air -- picture Yoshi's Egg Roll, but traveling mid-air, and able to pivot 90 degrees to chase opponents horizontally and vertically. He could also chew enemies, spit out pellets like watermelon seeds, belch up ghosts that zigzag across the screen... He could dribble himself like a basketball or launch himself forward like a human cannonball. And of course, for his Final Smash he could power up and chase enemies around the screen. His stage would be a neon maze like the kind seen in Championship Edition.

That game, it should be said, is amazing. Even if it weren't, Pac-Man's credentials are sky-high. He is one of the great-granddaddies of the arcade scene, right up there with Donkey Kong himself. He is one of an increasingly small handful of characters that are truly universally recognizable -- part of Smash Bros' original appeal as a concept. He also recently co-starred with Mario and company in yet another Mario Kart Arcade Grand Prix. And of course, he's the mascot of Bandai-Namco, the guys doing the heavy-lifting on these latest installments of Smash Bros.

It's mind-boggling, all the reasons he should be in. And I'm sure he will be in -- he was listed by someone predicting six newcomers, four of which have come true, three of which came true at E3, and two of which were completely unlikely by the common "wisdom" of the collective Smash Bros. community at the time, yet came to be.

Pac-Man is coming.

Neiteio bringing the goods.
You are totally write. It's a fighting videogame crossover, we can have racers that never got out of the car have super hero moves, or lawyers fighting pointing fingers.
Let imagination run wild! That's something Sakurai knows to do best, Im surprised always by any comment saying a character is impossible to do because "no moves".

Sounds like an imitator is trying to piggy back on the success of the previous leak, by sounding equally believable/ridiculous. I don't buy it, but you never know. I'm not crazy about getting Chrom, Chorus dudes, or "Pokemon" from XY, but if Shulk and Palutena are in, I'm ok with it. If it were true, I'd hope that's not it for newcomers. Or at least that Mewtwo is back.

Hm, that'd be neat.

Which Pokemon though from X/Y...? That's extremely nonspecific and makes me question the validity of this.

Maybe he means Mega Evolutions for Lucario and Charizard
and Mewtwo
