Given the style of the boxes we have one old (returning) character, one new character, and a gift. Hopefully the gift is a demo, but it could be an item/assist trophy I guess. Or worse, the gift represent Christmas which is when the game comes out.
Gift could be a release date? Nintendo's Twitter earlier today mentioned finding out about the 'release window' for Smash.

i love rhythm heaven but i don't think chorus men would be a particularly good choice as a representative

Shulk is really more relevant than Golden Sun, and is heavily requested in Japan (Whereas Golden Sun chars aren't anywhere)

There's still a lot of characters from the past games not confirmed for this one. I hadn't realized since I haven't been following the site closely.
I hope whatever we see today are new characters rather than ones we know about. Shulk and Chrom would be nice.
