Huh? What gave you that impression? The 3DS and Wii U versions are on different release schedules.

I'm guessing Olimar getting only three Pikmin has something to do with that being as much as the 3DS can handle. Also the reason Pokemon Trainer is gone as well. I'm a bit worried for the Ice Climbers, but I think if the 3DS can handle Rosalina and Luma then they should be fine.

OMG so many screens!

Direct thoughts:
- I don't know about Ridley being a Boss still. Could still be a red herring like they did with False Palutena trophy and her stage. Stranger things have happened.
- Uh... no female Villager? I hope they're just saving this for later or let each player customize the Villager including gender because this is a no-no news by itself.
- Why oh why did they Other M/waifu'ize Zero Suit Samus? The mole is pointless and just there to give "more character" like in Other M and the model is even more a generic sexy anime space female now. And jet heels? Really? Jet boots is a good idea, but making her run in jet heels is ridiculous when you already have the Brawl template. And oh god, the yellow glow is terrible.
- No transformations anymore is a double-edged sword. Good for ZSS/Samus/Zelda/Sheik, but probably bad news for Squirtle and Ivysaur.
- Pokemon Trainer, Squirtle, and Ivysaur probably means cuts now. I hope Jigglypuff isn't cut because of Original 12 status, being just as irrelevant as Sheik but still seeing high competitive Melee play, and the fact that Pokemon reps shouldn't all be all the "cool looking bipedal dude" types.

I mean when he was initially charging up his water shuriken you could only make out certain parts of his body. I think it wouldve been a fair guess for Mewtwo before they fully revealled he was upside down towards the end.

I thought it was just me, but I am pretty sure you could make out that the pokemon is upside down in the silhouette before the reveal.

I do think it's pretty neat how instead of removing her heels, they were proactive about it, and decided to make them serve tangible and explicit purpose. "Heel rockets" that form the basis of her whole fighting system that just happen to look like high-heels? Aint nothin wrong with that.

I think Zero Suit's heels also serve as shock absorbers, much like Chell in Portal. Allows her to fall great distances without sustaining damage.

On a side note, it's cool how these vets got title cards. But it feels appropriate: ZSS, Sheik and Charizard are now standalone characters, so they're like a half-step between "veteran" and "newcomer," in a way, while Yoshi has been overhauled so much visually that he might as well be a different character.

For people doubting Captain Falcon, Samurai Goroh was shown as a returning AT in the beggining of the video. If for any weird reason they were to remove Falcon as a playable character, they'd surely not keep Goroh as an AT...

Anyway, the Direct was amazing. These games will have so much content, it's almost ridiculous. We'll have like 50 Assist Trophies and like 100 items lol.

200+ hours of Pokémon XY that never grew dull say, "Nah, just go for Pokémon."

Word to the wise about Greninja, though -- the one you want to raise competitively is the Protean variant, and you'll have to trade for it. Easy enough to obtain, though -- Poké-GAF breeds 'em by the bucketful.

ZSS was my secondary main in Brawl and I'm loving her newest design, probably my favourite suitless design for her ever. Still need to see Suited Samus's missiles better god damn, Brawl missiles were so worthless =/


Can't main Suited Samus anyways though since that's my brother's character. He's been Samus and I've been Link ever since N64 days.
