Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

So are the Mega Evolutions for Lucario and Charizard their Final Smashes? The way they rolled out Mega Lucario seems more like an Aura tie-in. And Mega Charizard X doesn't appear to glow like a Final Smash. Are they possibly transformations triggered under other conditions, I.E. sustaining a certain amount of damage?

This is EXACTLY what i wanted. Posted those like a week ago lol. It was bullshit the transformation, it's not fair to either character, and I'm very VERY happy they fixed this.

I don't think it's possible that one of Wolf or Falco will get cut (likely Wolf if I go along with this scenario.) We had Star Fox 3DS. As for a Lucas cut, it sounds believable on the surface but I really don't think this is likely, even without Earthbound on the VC.
Ike and Snake are gone. Ice Climbers not likely. Where's this 3DS speculation--are people saying the 3DS couldn't handle them or something? I thought the 3DS was at least as powerful, if not more so, than the Gamecube. I don't think ROB is coming back, much as he totally captures the Nintendo banner. Was cut from Mario Kart after DS, for whatever reason. I think Game and Watch is returning. Everyone else is back.
Man, fuck the gematsu leak. Pac-Man fucking sucks. eShop Pac Man compilation got axed too, and the Ghostly Adventures seems to have failed to gain traction. I can't help but be skeptical of these leaks, besides wanting Isaac. What happened to the leak that claimed Layton when like Smash 4 wasn't even revealed?

Anyway, Palutena is definite, Chrom is likely (or at least, a 2nd Fire Emblem character,) Shulk I'm honestly not too sure about, couldn't comment on Rhythm Fever, Mii is depressingly understandable.

Giga Bowser and Wario Man (from Brawl) don't have that Final Smash glow either.
Very aptly put. Which means the WiiU has the odd distinction of being the "massive upgrade" and "definitive edition" while also missing out the magic and mystery that comes with discovering the main attraction -- the characters -- for the first time.
Ah, good point. I guess they're probably Final Smashes then. Shame, since I always turn off Smash Balls but I really want to play Mega Charizard X, lol.
A lot of Smash Bros. characters have mostly invented move sets. For instance, Pit splitting his bow into two blades was created for Brawl (though Sakurai reused the concept in Uprising, so now it makes canonical sense). The Ice Climbers have one attack in their source game, but Sakurai managed to create an entire move set for them. R.O.B.'s attacks are all original. And of course, there's also Captain Falcon and the Star Fox characters.
Its pretty much a guaranteed that he will be back, but if you want "confirmation" Samurai Goroh is an AT again.
The game looks gorgeous in the native 1080 screenshots.

If it requires super high damage to become Mega Lucario then its just as bad as the old aura mechanic, and if it doesnt then the aura mechanics is waste since youll just power up at the earliest opportunity and get max anyways.

I really really hate myself for not pre-ordering 3DS Smash at E3 last year when I coulda gotten it for $27. I never in my wildest dreams expected the differences to be so stark.
We are talking about if Mega Lucario is triggered by high damage aka if its not a final smash.

The games share items, much like characters.
It'd be somewhat unusual for Maxim Tomato, Poison Mushroom etc. to be 3DS exclusive, but I have 28 3DS screenshots of items, several of multiple.

Pokemon Trainer is gone, I can see why people are worried about the other two but I don't see the need to jump to conclusions. If we apply the "no teams" rule, Brawl had 6 Pokemon. (Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Lucario, Pokemon Trainer's team)
For Smash 4 we have Pikachu, Charizard, Lucario, and Greninja. Jigglypuff is extremely likely to still happen, but even then we are still below Brawl's overall number of Pokemon at 5. I assume if Squirtle or Ivysaur make it in, then so too will the other one, and at that point we are at 7 which is just above Brawl's number. We'd also be back at square one regarding Mewtwo.
