This game really is the ultimate fanservice.

I'm a Sakurai fan after this ND by the way. I always thought he was a goody two shoes type of guy. But he is a badass.

If we got another Zelda character there's no chance it'd be Midna.

Either Toon Zelda/Tetra or Ganon.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Ganon at this point. With Sheik as a seperate character the roster now has two Link's and two Zelda's, why not have two Ganon's as well? :)

I've never played any Smash game and I was always curious, why there is always so much hype behind this series. After watching the direct, I think I now understand.

The dude did not predict Rosalina, so it's likely there will be more characters. The trailer already hints we might be getting King K. Rool.

I'm definitely feeling the hype now. I was so worried Zero Suit Samus and Sheik wouldn't make the cut, but not only are they back, they're fully developed characters now! Fantastic.

That Nintendo Direct was just about perfect. Tons of new reveals, and a surprising range of topics covered. The only two things I didn't see that I really want confirmation on are the removal of tripping and the return of L-cancels (in Melee you could tap a shield button as you hit the ground to recover from your aerial attacks faster). Give me those and this game will probably edge out Melee as my favorite in the series.

Also i'm interested how far the attack customization will go in the final version, but i got the vibe that this could be just a wii u thing.

With this the mii character also seems more likely but i'm not sure i like that
 
Another point of discussion. In the reveal trailer for Charizard and Gerninja, they showed a whole line-up of Pokemon. Is it possible that all of those Pokemon are included in-game?
 
That Palutena fake-out was the new version of "Jigglypuff seen from above". I loved it.

It's more than possible, there were very few of those Pokemon that weren't shown coming out of Pokeballs in the Direct.

As a joke? Ridley was one of the most requested characters for Smash since forever. Sure, for a time so was Geno for some inexplicable reason, but people really do want Ridley playable. Hell, I want playable Ridley, high time Metroid got a new playable repressentative.

Since the 3DS version supports variable framerates they really should ask for DMC Dante to be an assist trophy. He can have the power to make all the fighter move at 30FPS with the feel of 60.
