I still think that leak is fake, but unless she was being added, I don't see why Sakurai would change the Angel Army thing.

Ehh, i would love playable ridley as much as the next person but that is not mecha or meta ridley, thats other m ridley's tail. I demonstarted yesterday showing other m's ridley and pointing the shadow beneath being the tail. If you see the whole video and not only a screen you can teel his whole body passes and what you are seeing its the tail.

I'll cling to the hope that it's only shit ridley from other m as a stage hazard, and the good ridley is playable.
Not to mention Wii U exclusive modes, which they will undoubtably focus on in the second half of the year.

Comes included on the Wii U version, $10 DLC on 3DS version a week or so later (to give people time to unlock them on Wii U and be surprised). Would be great!

And I'm still holding out for King K. Rool as a newcomer. Or at least a stage hazard for a DKC2 pirate stage. I could live with that I think.

Maybe they can be like Assists in the original Marvel vs Capcom? Chose one of them and then they can be summoned "x" number of times per battle, depending on how good they are? They did show that item selection screen for the Smash Run mode, which seemed to allow multiples of items too. So the mechanics for something like that are already in place.

I'm hoping they move maps across eventually, even if it is paid DLC/free for those who bought the other version and paid for everyone else.

We've seen the two Earthbound items from Brawl already though. So it doesn't seem likely they're dropping Earthbound. I guess Ness might be getting tweaked, like Yoshi. They seem to be simplifying all "special" recovery moves, so maybe Ness' special attacks are getting revamped due to that.

Whether DLC or unlockable I could totally see them adding classic versions of Sheik/Zelda and maybe Brawl ZSS if anything else could be part of the Custom Moveset system.

With regards to characters now that Yoshi has been announced (and Marth too) I'm missing Ice Climbers (who will probably be in as the lone representatives) and Jiggly Puff (with 5 Pokemon I'm worried).

That would be interesting actually.
I'd like to see them support MK and Smash in the long term, I'll buy ANYTHING for Smash (even costumes) and for MK I'd buy quite a few different things.
She's one of the Original 12 & we technically had 6 Pokémon in Brawl counting Red's. Jigglypuff's fine.
There's also the Franklin Badge coming back, so Ness will definitely follow.

Well maybe not irrelevant.
The soundtrack is like half the experience for me. So good.

That's the reason that I'm holding out hope. I don't think they'd get rid of Jiggly, but I'd be sad if hey did.
She(?) may not be the best character, but is the most fun to play with/most adorable.

You're right about it being a significant experience. Smash feels like a celebration of everything Nintendo, given I'm not the biggest Smash fan.

There's only ~20 weekdays/PotD every month, so he probably meant the roster he already revealed by that time. Unless 9 characters don't have final smashes now. xD
Isn't Pokémon Trainer definitely cut, since Sakurai mentioned to cut all of the transformable mechanics and make every character stand-alone?
I was like: "Ok goodbye Pokémon Trainer" at that point, so I was happy to see at least Charizard later on.

It is not like anyone has answers but this was something on my mind.
Sakurai mentioned the Nintendo Network ID is used for multiplayer. Being someone who NNID is unsuitable for their 3DS (because the idiots at NCL lock you into one country) does that mean I'm not able to play online multiplayer? My glimmer of hope is it was not specified either way yet (though if it was Wii U only he would have said).

I think transforms are cut for performance issues. Having to keep the character loaded in RAM or load them when you switch don't work. Also having the trainer in the BG uses up resources. I hope the Trainer makes an appearance as an AT. Even if all he does is throw a Pokeball and vanish.

If absolutely nothing else, I suspect they might tweak the balance for the Wii U version based on feedback from the 3DS version and may well patch that back into the 3DS.

Surely Wolf would make more sense to cut than Ice Climbers? They're the only representative, and unless they've changed up Wolf he is far too similar to Fox and Falco.

Really? I haven't played Brawl in ages (I sold my Wii, I continue to play Melee though) and he is definitely a clone isn't he.
