I know right? I just don't know about taking a gamble on this one or if it'd end up turning into a holy grail figure...I just don't know...

Black Gold Saw is the only one of the BRS designs that I really like. I can't really fault you for doing it.

That Muramasa looks great, but I already have the Maid/Max Factory version on the way, with Amakuni's Swimsuit Ver. on my wishlist. I do love the tsundere face they gave her, though.

Won't pre-order, unless I can somehow squeeze her in somewhere. It's not looking likely at the moment.

BTW, N-Y apparently doesn't allow cancellations anymore. Be careful with your pre-orders from now on. I only use them for exclusives, and only for ones that I don't want to pay up-front, so this doesn't really worry me.

Does anyone have the early Haruhi nendo? Most of the early ones don't look as good at the later ones in pictures but is the quality alright? Also do they work with newer heads? Basically the movie Haruhi nendo comes with her short hair but it looks odd to display her with her short hair but a different uniform from the standard one so maybe it is worth hunting down a second hand version of the first Haruhi nendo for the body but using the nicer looking heads from the movie one. I've seen some people use the winter uniform from the movie Yuki nendo.

The Haruhi Nendoroids have a specific expansion set, which comes with extra outfit stuff. The fact that it comes with Ryoko is a nice bonus.

The Dissapereance models are actually nice looking. It's only the original Haruhi that I reckon people will maybe take issue with.

Thanks for the vid. And yeah, it DOES lose some flair when not turned on. Since the damn thing would run me ~$350, I wouldn't feel comfortable wiring it up to feed off the main power for the pinball machine. That would be WAY too risky for an expensive toy like that!

Then last week I saw the new Asuka 1/7 by Alter, http://myfigurecollection.net/item/186848 , she is absolutely amazing! I ordered her right away, & she will be my second scaled figure ever.

Do you all have favorite figure artists, and do you follow them and buy their works just because they did it? I have never seen Yamato 2199, but that Misaki Yuria he sculpted looks so awesome!

As much as I love the design, KanColle has way too many characters where I like the design and, given the number of characters there are, that would be an incredible danger to my wallet. I'm still going to purchase a figure of KanColle poster girl, Shimakaze, but nothing beyond that, especially if the prices continue to settle in this range.

I'm still going to purchase a figure of KanColle poster girl, Shimakaze, but nothing beyond that, especially if the prices continue to settle in this range.

It's weird, but I find myself not caring about a lot of figures I would have jumped at once upon a time. I think it's mostly to do with the pricing. It's just getting to be too much. Some figures I'm planning to buy regardless, and I'll order them when the time comes - Invader Lum, Himeji Castle, etc. But the prices are getting to be too much for mere impulse buys anymore. Even figures I like in theory are being scrutinized well before placing any orders. It's why I never ordered that Max Factory Yagami... 9k is just too much. No matter what cajun says.

I haven't ordered anything from AmiAmi in over a week, now. The last thing being an A/B Melona (to go with my Risty) for my April order. I mean, acid-shooting ta-ta's is something you just don't forget. And I do have a bit of a goo girl fetish. XD

Yeah, the increase in prices is definitely making it easier for me to cut back on future pre-orders. While I still have quite a few pre-ordered, the influx of "new" pre-orders for me have slowed down considerably. I believe the last one was Alter's Asuka, and the one before that...Kotobukiya's Holo, which I will likely cancel.

Thanks for the links to the artists. Those are some wonderful figures and I can see why they are some people's favorites. I have always really liked that Zero Suit Samus and the Catherine, it is a revelation to find out they are both done by the same artist.

FYI, Link RAH arrived a few days ago. Finally opened the AmiAmi box to check and it doesn't look so bad in person. The outfit definitely isn't as nice as the prototype but everything else is exactly the same. Still bummed they changed it but it definitely doesn't look that bad. I wouldn't mind if some customizer out there would make an outfit that matched the prototype tho, lol
