Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel. Yabuki turned off voice chat in Mario Kart races. True artists of their time.
I will try out Wii Fit Trainer first, and I will main her. ZSS second, though.
I hope so. I'd rather they just deconfirm Ridley proper rather than keep teasing us about it.A picture of Ridley being a boss hazard on Pyrosphere.
It's gotta be Mario. I will get the game and play through a match every character in order first and foremost. It's what I did with Brawl.Anyone's mind change on who they wanna play as first? I want to try the new Sheik now mostly.

With Brawl I used Zelda first at a normal tourney, then sadly Wario at a gamestop tourney that made us use random. 2 Launch tourneys in one day was so good.
What were these Gamestop tourneys like, lol
what if Nintendo hosted a giant one for SSB4 launch
You didn't notice that the Balloon Fight stage for the 3DS does just that?If that stage didn't kill you when you went off the sides how could a match ever possibly end?

Simply having a stage hazard toggle wouldn't have helped, either, as a ton of stages would still have to be banned. The Boxing Ring, for instance, has no stage hazards but would still need a ban because of walkoffs. Spear Pillar would still be a bad stage for competitive play even without its stage hazards because of the tunnel underneath the stage. Having FD versions at least makes 99% of stages playable.
I'm hoping they tweak the FD versions before release and add platforms to, say, 1/2 to 2/3 of them in various configurations. The idea they have is sound - it's effectively the same kind of thing Project M did to its first page of stages, after all. They just need to have stages with platforms since, well, FD isn't the be all and end all of competitive play and makes things over-centralized on certain characters that are fast and/or have projectiles.
Nintendo should host monthly tournaments at the Nintendo World Store. They should straight up hire Prog and D1 to do commentary with no cursing or "naughty" innuendos. And then stream it on their site, on Twitch, and on every Wii U and 3DS. Every month.
This was going to be me, but Nintendo ruined everything by making the 3DS version release first.Man I am going to have such a hard time deciding who to play first. I'll probably sit there for twenty minutes making my friends wait while they have their characters picked in ten seconds.
Sakurai said he waited this long to announce Yoshi because of the overhaul he got. This makes me think some of the veterans we still have yet to see might be very different too. Hopefully Ganondorf gets an entirely new moveset. Falco (and Wolf) could use a new Final Smash too.
That just shows how much care and enthusiasm I had while making that
Replaced the duplicate Captain Falcon with an equally likely slot:

I guess I am the only one who wants to try WFT lol

Anyone got Substitute gif from trailer? I wanna show it to prove that it's not a 2D sprite render.
The first thing I ever do in a Smash game is boot up Classic mode and play through it as Mario. Character wise, I'm greatly looking forward to trying out Little Mac. Really digging his moveset from what I've seen.

Yeah it bugs me too, he's SO CLOSE to an amazing breakthrough for competitive play. Where the breakthrough is basically "copy Project M", but still. Again, I am crossing my fingers HARD that he sees some of the backlash/constructive criticism and adjusts the FD versions before final release.Oh i know there would still be some stages that would be banned but when used with the apparent new first to x amount of kills that would then force players on a stage like spear pillar to fight rather than run away underneath the stage.
It's specifically the idea of Final destination as the solution to all competitive smash that i dislike, it feels like he went to a tournament or something and saw FD being used a lot and decided that's what the competitive scene wants FD all the time every time...

When I finally sit down to do a 4 player match of Smash U on the big screen all the excitement of the new characters will be long gone an it's really killed my hype.

I also hope that the first to x kills isn't the online mode of choice because bleh. Why not just make it stock it's so much better forever come ON guys.
SHIT just realized that Mario grabs the ledge backwards at 2:09 of the Smash Direct ABORT ABORT
SO CLOSE and yet still SO FAR AWAY.
Mario was spinning so he could have caught it while he was facing foward....yeah that's it....i hope.
What if I wanna play with no items in the other stages, though? :/Then don't play the Final Destination mode. Simple as that![]()

Play with friends and turn items off. What if I wanna play with no items in the other stages, though? :/
It just bugs me that what should have, could have, (still might be please based Sakurai), been an absolutely wonderful mode that could help push the competitive scene in a positive direction and show Sakurai caring about all players was instead almost a parody of said competitive scene. Then don't play the Final Destination mode. Simple as that
Personally, I burst out laughing at that mode. I love the absurdity of it. Final Destination/No items has been a huge thing I have seen with Smash since Melee.

looks far too snappy for that
that being said, maybe a non-spinning ledgegrab too for comparison?
If you want to play for glory then you have to play FD.
If it's by yourself then you can turn of items sure but stage hazards then become an issue. Simply having the option to turn them off rather than this all FD for everything is a lot more logical in my opinion. It seems like he's being different for the sake of being different.
Perhaps. I still argue that navigating stage hazards and items show the true skill of a player, anyway.
A truly skilled player navigates random chance and still comes out victorious, they don't just deactivate random chance.
