Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

I would like if smash was a lot more about each character representing a character/franchise as much as posible (doing those things that you remember them doing in their games), but thats not the case. Also, i would like them changing characters moveset from game to game to make characters represent that franchise better.

Look at mario. He doesnt represents what mario is to me. Everyone has thought once about "why cant mario do this or that in smash??". And he is almost the same from game to game.

I love smash. But they should be more open to changing characters moves... (at least changing some random moves with moves that the character could do in one of his games) all the things that mario could do... (just using mario as an example)

Its true that this can change a lot from one character to the other. So, when you see one of those characters that represent that character sooooo well you think "why isnt everyone the same?"

Oh, yeah. I tried to call dibs on Lyn the other day, but I couldn't find the list to see if someone else already nabbed it.
 
So Sakurai left this hidden at this part of the trailer. I barely saw it, but something looked funny because I saw something slicing through the air.

Looks to be a new Neutral Air for Samus. She seems to do a spinning kick.

Not to be a negative nancy, but it is way too early to sign people up for a tournament. The game is still over 2 months away from release.

And who knows, the people who express interest now may not be interested later.

Not unless an actual bracket is made ahead of time. I love Gaf, but I don't want to add what will probably be 50+ people to my friend list in bulk. And deciding the matches that early wouldn't really work, because who knows who might drop out or sign up late. I'd look at it as more of an interest check for now.

I know it's waaaaay to early for this, but what's gonna be the policy on unlockable characters for this tournament? Assuming Sakurai is still doing pic of the day after the 3DS version launches maybe we can only use whatever has been officially revealed up to that point?

Everything should be game once you have bought it for the Tourney.

The Triforce Link gathers in LoZ is the Triforce of Wisdom. It's not even his and just acts as a flashlight.

Wind Waker Link had to get the Triforce for the gods to grant access to Hyrule for the final fight. He only had it for Ganon's Tower and lost it before the final battle. He didn't even have a triforce birthmark like ALttP Link.

Skyward Sword Link gets the triforce and uses it to make a wish. Then he fights Demise without it.

It's not an accomplishment unique to ALttP Link.

You could also make a case for ALBW Link.

Ganon had possession of the Triforce but that doesn't mean it was powering him. The royal family had possession of it when Link gave it to them but they weren't firing justice lasers at the other countries. Why didn't they just use it to solve their problems? Instead it sent Link to the other lands.

Ooh this sounds fun, but I'm not sure what my internet wifi connectivity's gonna be like (it's currently non-existent but I'm moving from student housing to own apartment in August).

Also, are you gonna have separate tiers for the Circle Pad Pro master race and OG scrubs like me?

Edit: Also have to consider timezones since I imagine it'll be a pretty international thing.

Not true. We already found inconsistencies in the tale presented for what happened in ALTTP in ALBW

It took a whole game for the Zelda fanbase to get back to work

Obviously all characters playable if you have them unlocked. If people don't want spoilers, they shouldn't play in the tournament.

If you don't want to be spoiled, you shouldn't participate in the tournament. Not fair to limit characters like that.

I think the rules should be: no items, final destination, no custom movesets (you can do those online with friends I think). And I'm in.
 
No rules have been decided yet.

Naturally, all characters are eligible.

Concering the CPP, we'll need a vote closer to launch so there's no unfair advantages.

However, there'll be no rule concering OG or XL. I'm on OG myself.

I agree with you and thanks to your post, I just realized we got a Sonic level that isn't a walk off!! It also showcases features from the series in a non arbitrary tacked on way unlike things like Smashville (as much as I love it)

Oooh yeah: gonna be playing here a lot for all DAT Sonic music, son

What? If people feel the CPP is more comfortable and useful, they should be allowed to use it.
