Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 6: Final Destination confirmed for not fun

So a I the only one who was disappointed that Saki wasn't playable?

You tease.

Nearly every AT could be a viable fighter, honestly.
But the problem is you just can't keep adding them. The game would never get finished! And having them as ATs is better than nothing. Who knows. Maybe we will get character DLC.

Half the fun of Ridley size jokes is how hugely unfunny they've become.

Regardless, my avatar bet offer is still on, for any takers. If only because the only real joke about size with regards to Ridley is the size of the conversation that's needlessly devoted to him in these threads.

As much as I despise the concept of "slots" having Squirtle and Ivysaur alongside the inevitable Jigglypuff and Mewtwo along with the already confirmed Pokemon probably does hit "too many Pokemon" territory.

You say small-minded, I say realistic. Never mind other reasons like him not being an anthropomorph like the entire rest of the cast.

You're filling in blanks that are already filled, because you don't like how they've been filled in.

I'll avatar bet you and anyone else right now: Ridley will not be a playable character in Smash Bros. Not now, not EVER.

I can't even believe myself that I'm willing to take your avatar bet. What made it not believable because I'm not even Ridley fanboy but here is condition.

I'm betting on Ridley will be playable character in the game but I would like to add one thing to the bet that my bet should be opened to ANY iteration of Ridley such as Omega, Meta, Mecha, etc.

Here is a silly second line condition is that the bet would count the fact that Ridley could be playable boss character as well. Because you said playable, so it's playable as well.

I think the only thing that hurt Ivysaur and Squrtle is the "no transformations" thing that happened this time around. (I kind of called it too because I kept splitting Samus and ZSS in most of my rosters hahah) I think Greninja replaced that "water starter" spot. If they do a "Grass Starter" I easily see it being Sceptile.

But I don't think there will be a grass final evo started. It'll probably be Jiggs and Mewtwo.

Honestly I think these are the probabilities of the characters that I'm sort of doubting will return:

Returning chance:

Wolf: 95%
Ike: 85%
Snake: 55%
Ivysaur: 1%
Squirtle: 1%

I easily see Lucas and Jigglypuff returning. I have NO CLUE why people are doubting R.O.B, Falco, Wario, Ness, or Captain Falcon.

Explain the Lucina love to me, because she seemed really bland to me in FE.
We all secretly love clones.

Torterra could be a neat fusion between Squirtle and Ivysaur.

Nope. People are arguing him as a roster inclusion, and that is the condition of the bet. For everyone who keeps talking about it, it's "nut up or shut up" time.

I would say the opposite. There are only a handful of assist trophies that could realistically work as playable characters. Or do Lakitu, Mr. Resetti, and Excitebike seem just as viable as Jeff, Isaac, and Ray?

Excitebiker is viable. Guy on dirtbike....have you seen bike parkour?

Remember when Mr. Game & Watch got cut from Brawl?

Oh wait, that didn't happen. And R.O.B. won't be getting cut, either. Seriously, R.O.B. is the new Mr. Game & Watch. Lots of people doubted Mr. Game & Watch's return in Brawl for the same (nonsensical) reasons.

Why would they cut a totally unique character that's very historically significant to Nintendo? Plus that would be cutting out an entire franchise from the game (well, if you want to call the Robot Series a franchise, lol), which is something that has never happened before and it's something that I don't ever see happening, except maybe with a third-party franchise like Metal Gear (though I think Snake's going to be back as well).

If one of the pics of the day next week was of Ridley as a stage boss there would still be people arguing he could still be playable.
The dream is only dead once we get our hands on the game lol.
Was just thinking, if transforming characters aren't in/have been seperated, then Mega Lucario and Mega Charizard can only be Final Smashes, right? Same as Giga Mac? Am I crazy?
Yes, they're 99.9% final smashes.

0.1% is missing because it isn't outright confirmed for Mega Lucario.

Some people erroneously believe in "slots" and are therefore overly cut happy.

Or they rightfully believe that more characters means more balance issues and more time spent in development on each iteration.

Nope to which condition?

Playable as a boss character. People are arguing him as a roster inclusion, loopholes like this (however equally unlikely) aren't part of their argument and thus not something I would consider inclusive of the bet.

The caption of the Ridley picture could flat out be Sakurai saying "Ridley being a boss of course means he won't be playable, but Ridley appears nonetheless!" and people would still argue that Sakurai is just trolling and that Ridley is still playable.

Okay, IF I get rid of playable boss character condition, and keep first condition; would you be okay with that?

People are still arguing that Ridley is playable for Brawl.

Someone please save this and then force Terrell to change his avatar in 15 years when Sakurai finally shrinks Ridley down and makes him playable for Smash 8.
