On a slightly unrelated topic, there are gonna be A LOT of items in this game. I took the liberty of creating a roster of all the items we've seen so far, and it certainly looks like these games will nearly double the selection that Brawl had.
Sami would be perfect to replace Snake. Should Snake need replacing.
That looks great, but I think the new items should be grouped together and given a little "New!" label or something. Heath should add it to the OP.

I wonder if Master Balls and Pokeballs are tied together into a single item in the item switch, or if they are separate. If they're separate, Master Ball only fights should be quite fun!

I love Midna. She's one of the most memorable Zelda characters not just in terms of general personality but also in terms of being a sidekick. Bit of a shame she couldn't join the actual roster but I suppose there's bigger fish to fry.

It looks like the only items from Brawl that are unaccounted for at the moment are the Fan, Cracker Launcher, and Party Ball. The Fan has been in every game so it'll probably be back, and I think the Cracker Launcher is really fun so I hope they bring it back.
Even with the knowledge that Sakurai likes going overboard, I sure wasn't expecting them to bring back so many items. Especially ones that really didn't need to be brought back, like the freaking Smoke Ball. Hopefully the roster will surpass my expectations as well.

If you lose you have to do it all over again with the chances cut in half.
They're already in. We don't know if they still do nothing useful, but Victini was shown doing something that looked pretty useless and he came out of a master ball.
I now hope this is possible.

Too bad! Almost every Pokemon we've seen in Greninja's reveal trailer has been revealed as a Pokeball Pokemon. Mew was seen in the back ground so I'm pretty sure he will reaper as he once did.
On that note Zoroark was revealed in that line up as well. I think it's pretty safe to assume he won't be playable now. But you never know with Sakurai!
Samurai used to be cool.
Was Giratina shown? I remember Arceus, Palkia, and Darkrai made it in. But I need my Giratina.

There were pieces of the Dragoon in one of the trailers also. I'm pretty confident all the items from Brawl will be back.

The more I think about it, Excite Biker would be a neat newcomer. They could probably pull from Excite Truck and Excitebots for his moveset if they needed to. I think Excitebike: World Rally kept some things from Excite Truck like terrain changing, and color options for the vehicle.

We'll, I've typed in "Sakurai" so many times using the Google Keyboard swipe function, so now it no longer changes it to Samurai. You all should do the same if you have Google Keyboard.
