I don't expect her to make an appearance this time around outside of being a trophy (if that...) since she didn't have any appearances post-Brawl, but I'd be shocked if she was in since I wanted her really bad in Brawl.

So tomorrow begins our first completely fresh week of images since last week's Direct. I wonder if the images will keep the hype going up until release or we'll still get a couple of stinkers. Disappointingly I'm betting a few will reiterate things we've already deciphered or learnt from observing the press kits.

At least two or three weeks from now I believe. But what's the point? E3 is coming and we're probably get one or even two newcomers and 3-5 veterans.

April 24 - Ice Climbers (Japanese retail release of NES Remix 1+2)
May - two veterans
June - a few newcomers at E3
July - another Smash Bros. Direct with a couple of character reveals
August - game releases on 3DS

I believe he's mistaken. Seth Killian said Doctor Strange's air dash was cut for balance reasons. Marvel was really anal about Doctor Strange's spells and hand signals, though.

That's certainly a matter of debate. Particularly what is considered a "deserving" characteristic.

With anything smash if someone doesn't like a said character it's a bad list.

Or, y'know, some of us are realists who keep their personal feels out of it.

DLC Characters and stages post-launch.....do you think they'll do it??? They seem to be exploring DLC a lot more these days.....

Stages, maybe. Characters, NO. Sakurai has already spoken out against such a practice and if they do DLC characters, that's less options for the next game.

Bah....I forgot about the Namco stuff. And I'm sure Sakurai wants to do something different. Damn.

I keep thinking that the Wii U version...being in development for longer than 3DS....wouldn't that mean the Wii U version could potentially have extra characters? I know they keep saying they'll have the same roster, but for it to be in development longer, I would hope for something a little more other than being prettier......hmmm....

You'll notice that they haven't shown things like stage bosses for the 3DS game. There's also the music selection that will be undoubtedly larger, probably a wider range of stages that need to be re-done. Not to mention any surprise additions.

Yeah but I can't see it happening. It could work well with the Galaxy gravity mechanics. Spear Pillar is probably my favourite stage and tbh the Lumiose one does not look really interesting...

This is something that I put together.

These are stages that I'd like to see in SSB Wii U and 3DS (not counting the confirmed Halberd and Jungle Japes). The Wii U get's 12 past stages, and the 3DS gets 9 past stages.

They are my personal choices, which ones would you like to see return?

Well besides the list of: Little Mac, Mii, Pac-Man, Villager, and Wii Fit Trainer. They're from the same person? IIRC.

We can't. People just want to believe in whatever they can get. Although, I hope it isn't a true leak, or at least final count of characters. Until then, we'll see if it's real or not.

I actually found the exact quote I was thinking of, which I have slightly misrepresented. Not opposed to DLC, but feels his job is to create as full an experience as possible the first time.

“At the current time we have no plans,” Super Smash Bros. series creator Masahiro Sakurai told IGN. “I consider my job at this point, and my main responsibility, to make the Wii U and 3DS versions the best and the fullest experience possible. That said, once finished, it’s the type of thing we could take into consideration, but for now, you could consider DLC as not being in the cards.”

Couple that with his distress over things like character balance and talking about roster cuts as far back as last E3, and it seems likely that if we are getting DLC, characters aren't going to be part of it.
