Just like how they're using the Zelda U designs for Link & Zelda?
Shhh, the TP designs they've shown are just alt costumes.
Believe.

I can totally see Ganondorf being completely different this time. He is changing so many characters for this game. Leaving Ganondorf the same doesn't make sense anymore.I think Sakurai is holding off showing some veteran characters that may have been retooled more than usual, like ZSS and . He did mention holding off on Yoshi to show off his changes. It probably won't be true for some though.
I don't see high quality CG Renders for Wireframe Mac & Male WFT.

whoa new avatar!
that's what you think
then he'll be same old Ganon
Not everyone from Melee made it into Brawl. Is it possible any Veterans don't make a return?

He's hiding them because most of them are going to be the unlockables again, just like Brawl. The only reason he showed Luigi early was because of Year of Luigi.
That is assuming there even are unlockables. The entire casts of most fighting games these days are unlocked from the start.
Would there be a point to keeping characters secret? The internet is likely to spoil any hidden characters.

Wanna bet on that

Namco tho.Nintendo's usually at least 5 years behind everyone else.
I never bet on anything because I'm too smart.
Namco tho.
Also Sakurai plays games that aren't on Nintendo systems, unlike the rest of Nintendo.
You haven't forgotten that comment about not having cutscenes (?) because it'd just be spoiled, right.

So you're saying that any characters that would have been unlockable are just going to be cut outright?
Nope, that same reason for not having cutscenes cool be applied to unlockable characters though.

This is exactly how video games work.
All I remember about Mewtwo is that I like his grab/throws.

This talk of cuts here is strange... everyone mutually agrees that no one can be cut and we should all just hug it out.... oh man, are some of you in for a rude awakening.
I've been burned by this with the Mewtwo exclusion in Brawl, and NO, Lucario tried and failed to make up for it. After that, I keep my feelings out of character discussions.
But I suppose everyone has to learn this lesson the hard way, don't they?
Indeed. Best throws I've seen in any Smash game.

More development time + started out porting brawl + bigger team = roster cuts all around... somehow.

Iwata has a PS3 and Miyamoto enjoys Angry Birds on his phone

Namco helping out I think will be a bigger deal than people think.

Unlockables are fun, having everyone from the start would be disappointing.

They do have more experience with HD development. Is Monolith helping out with assets in this game as well?
As far as I can tell the game's balance will be the biggest limiting factor to the roster size.
huh?
where'd you get that from
There is a second Monolith studio that does nothing but make assets for Nintendo games, people aways get them mixed up with Monolith proper.
You forgot to add a whole other device it's being developed for. Y'know, the one with the comparatively severe hardware handicap that the game is being released on first.
Apparently it isHD is hard tho gais

I think they can still be unlockable but still shown off before release, I mean whats the point of hiding guys whos been in the games before
I've been off since we moved the clock one hour forward so... the update should come in about 10 minutes... right?...
The only unlockable stuff that should be shown beforehand is third party characters for promotion reasons otherwise it defeats the point of them being unlockable in the first place.
