on NG+ are you joking? I do 600 with Dark Orb, it takes down a tenth of their HP. A TENTH, I have to use like 10 orbs if I hit.
I'm speaking on NG. The area before NPC Straid. It's difficult if your doing anything aside from luring one at a time.
They have 126dmg on NG.. On NG+ you're telling me a single shot from dark orb doesn't kill them?

So why do people say NG+ Sinner is easy? Were you guys joking, or are you super lucky? Those pyros+sinner destroy me. Every single time. Lucatiel is useless and dies too easily. Making my OP in NG feel not so OP now )=

man Scorpions have a huge HP pool, and they don't spawn next to straid. But, the exploding mummies may die easily, but, it's like difficult as shit to even hit them. Once they rush you, and you miss you're fucked. 2 or more and you are dead.

Even in NG+, I can one shot them when Lightning Spear. Dunno why Alim's hexes aren't working.

Yeah, shelldudes are resistant to most magic. Physical damage is the "best" way to take them down. Stand in front of them to bait them in to a "Ima bat you away with my left arm" attack, walk backwards then attack when they're open. Keep an eye out for their tail swipe attack though, they'll use it even if you're in front of them. Has a long-ish wind up, and he can follow up with another tail swipe at a longer delay.

Why do the exploding mummies make a bug-wings like sound.

That shit is so distressing.

Is it not enough that we know they want to explode hug us, they also have to make ungodly noises?

They're called shelldudes because they make your life shell.
Wouldn't that be a more apt name for the Ironclads and old ironclads?

They were brutal for me until I figured out they were weak against strike weapons. My swords were doing shit dmg against them.

I don't really like changing weapons (but I do have a pair of poisoned boss whips for kicks) but Ironclads telegraph so hard even a blind person can dodge them. Facing lots of them at once can get a bit hairy though.

I ended up switching between weapons with my second character. It makes a huge difference. I don't mind switching up now.

I just carry around a whole mini armory of assorted weapons I use I like lot's of different weapons I like so limiting myself is a bit silly I think. And mainly because it's funny to run around as a jester with a Gyrm great hammer really.

There's also no incentive to stop leveling in PVP the way it works now, might as well spec yourself into using whatever you want

The range is insane. I can't dodge them, like ever.

You will go crazy when fighting the
rat
boss. I couldn't dodge that one at all. I have no idea what they were thinking

see the boss preparing to attack
-> roll left -> 1st swipe hits -> 2nd swipe hits -> dead
next time
-> roll right -> 1st swipe hits -> 2nd swipe hits -> dead
next time
-> roll back -> 1st swipe hits -> 2nd swipe hits -> dead
over and over and over

it seems the hitbox is extremely large and there is no way to roll-dodge out of the attacks. I mean I managed to do that a few times, but I don't think that it's possible to dodge it all the time. Maybe I'm underleveled, no idea.

In the end I just
got under that fucker and firestormed his ass
. And people say that this boss would be like the
Sif
. Nope, I was able to dodge
Sif
without problems.

The "mummies" (I thought those were exploding zombies) weren't a problem. Yep, it's kinda cheap especially (later game spoilers)
the ones after that other rat boss. When you are in water and those fucks are coming from both sides.
.

Yeah, there are so many armoured enemies strike damage is really good. But I like carrying around a washing pole/Manslayer. Got my attunement up to 10 and bought Flame Weapon too, looks super cool having this gigantic en-flamed katana.

In the end I just used an alluring skull and then
sniped them with spells from the bridge. Just one didn't want to come to my spell-in-the-face party and had to be killed from the ground.

P easy.

Why would you ever roll any way other than forwards in a souls game???

wtf freja just spawned right before the spider door in brightstone cove

i chickened and ran away and she was gone when i went back

Ah ok for poise, because physical defense matters.

The thing with poise could be related to the fact that different poise is applied from different pieces of armor in regard to a different hit location.

When it comes to PVP for Dark Souls I follow the mantra of "offense is the best defense."

That's a good use of those.. smart.

I only tried
using it on the pursuer to bait him in front of the crossbows
which failed

Anyone got any idea how to beat Flexile Sentry after using an ascetic?

The boss itself is really easy, but after using that ascetic he got
2 ninjas, who will almost instant kill me. One of them will hit me, I will stumble, then the boss attacks as well and I'm done. Those fuckers seem to have infinite poise.
I'm always getting killed within 3 seconds after entering :/ The whole level before that is easy peasy to me.
