Anyone got any idea how to beat Flexile Sentry after using an ascetic?

The boss itself is really easy, but after using that ascetic he got
2 ninjas, who will almost instant kill me. One of them will hit me, I will stumble, then the boss attacks as well and I'm done. Those fuckers seem to have infinite poise.
I'm always getting killed within 3 seconds after entering :/

They weren't too bad but you need to take them out asap. They're pretty weak defensively. Just circle around the pillar with your shield up when you first enter.

Ignore Sentry until his friends are dead

Maybe I should actually respec. I'm pretty weak and I'm not strong enough to kill them with 1 hit. It takes a few and then I'm already dead. Blocking using my shield doesn't help at all (despite it being a 100% block shield). Their attacks just knock me over. I leveled up DEX to 20, because I thought that a weapon, which required that, would be awesome. It wasn't :(

Oh, got some heavy armor or Ring of Giants? Use that to raise your poise up.

Made a hell of a lot of progress this weekend and I am at the end of the game. I have not killed the AD, anything else I should try to do before wrapping it up?

Found 5 titanite shards yay. Need one more then I can get both caestus to plus 5 hopefully. I hate how rare shards are I've already got a slab on this co-op character.

Huh, never thought about farming the memories. I should do that before they fix that lol
Forgot which one (there might be more than one), but ascetic(s) are one of the items, so it's an infinite farm with some good loot. Not sure they'd patch it out really, it's not breaking anything. And using ascetics to farm is pretty much the whole point.

I think I've been living under a rock, I had no idea there was a DS2 megamule - reading about it now. So soon really? :|

Yeah people were cheating before the game even came out.

It's really not something that needs to be "fixed". If you're farming the memories, you're using bonfire ascetics. While GL isn't really hard, you're still technically making the game harder with each ascetic you use, so it's working as intended and isn't an exploit.

Oh ok. Thought it was infinite on it's own.

Just had my first taste of Mirror Knight evilness. I finally got summoned and the poor host did a great job of holding there own, but they were alone and it was all just a case of running away to heal before getting pummelled again.

Kind of felt bad for throwing everything I had at them - G. Light Spear, Flame Swathe, used Sacred Oath (does it buff the Mirror Knight?) and poison arrows. It was only a matter of time till the inevitable conclusion.

So bad, yet so good! :D .... Next time, Acid Surge and Toxic Mist!

spent a good hour or so putting my white summon sign down at the Dragon Shrine. Pulled a ton of souls helping people, but didn't have a single good run at AD.

I was on some good teams, too... at least I thought.

I think the best team I was on took the son of a bitch down maybe only a quarter of his health before either the host or myself got killed by the one-shot flame spread.

I really hate that boss and I haven't even attempted it on my own yet.
Judging from my own skill level (which can be described only as decent and not great), I honestly think this is the one DaS boss I won't be able to beat solo. I don't even think a team can help me due to the insta-kill moves. :/

I've only defeated it solo and I would think that is the easier way to do it. Well not easier per se, but safer. Summons can send AI a bit crazy sometimes and it makes fights unpredictable. If there's one fight in the game you want some stability in AI, it's that one.

you can buy unlimited shards from
the blacksmith in majula after you beat the old iron king

You can cast warmth as soon as you spawn and it heals the boss.
I'm also a fan of immediately killing Benhart if he's there. So mean.

yeah, I just broke down and watched a YouTube of a guy soloing it.

Four things I took from it:

-a lot of stamina is good (all the running)
-a lot of HP is good (in the event his flame vomit hits you on the outside of the range. Actually saw this guy barely survive the blast because he had so much HP.)
-no need for armor and a shield.
-you can kind of control the dragon's pattern;
i.e. get a few hits in on his foot, run out a bit away from his head, trigger his standing flame breath, run back for some hits, haul ass to the northeast of his shadow when you start seeing the wings flap, rinse-repeat

Then again, I also saw some guy beat the AD with only his fists on like NG++++ or something, so I guess a good enough player can make any boss fight look easy. :p

Oh I know that. It's from the stone trader it's just been the bane of my existence on my co-op character. It's weird how the resources are in this one.

I have accepted and made peace with the fact that I will never beat the AD.

Vendrick is doable with four giant souls anyway

I ran across my first yesterday in gates of Pharos, it said something like "Drop ahead, therefore Horse".
I felt oddly compelled to rate it.

Is there anything remotely resembling a horse in the game?
Why?

Two things:

Llewellyn horse head guys before the mirror knight in
Drangleic Castle

Horse boss in
Undead Purgatory.

Oh, I haven't reached these places yet. This explains that.

I'll be honest, the Black Gulch is super boring/annoying so I've kind of stopped progressing. It's probably the weakest part of the game so far. I wasn't a huge fan of its equivalents in previous games but they had interesting stuff at least.

85 hours. All bosses cleared. On my way to NG+.

Just book it through Black Gulch. Run, do not mind the poison or enemies at all, you won't die. You really don't need to stop for anything except maaaaybe the giant worms. At the end of it, just before the left turn towards the boss room
there is a small walkway on the right side, just next to the chasm. It leds to a second bonfire which is much closer to the boss.

Um is it voiced in spanish too?
