Why the hell did Samus go from this and her MP1 appearance to this overly anime look that she has now.
As much as i hate the "because Nintendo" line that's really the only explanation i'm seeing for the change.
She went from looking like a believable person
To this fake plastic looking thing
I really hate this transition
Yeah, I think Battlefield is more balanced stage than FD, I don't understand why people love FD more.
Sakamoto probably didn't like the realistic (and vastly superior) MP1 Samus.
I doubt Retro would change it of their own accord.
Donkey Kong 75m > everything.

So do FD stages have separate music from the whole "2 per stage" thing?
Looka nice btw.
I prefer anime Samus. I prefer stylised stuff in everything.
/shrug
So Glory Mode even in 3DS huh
It's not like it said it was limited to Wii U only.
That Metroid Prime 1 image wan't the first time that Samus took off her helmet. She does that in every game she has been in. Of all of those cases, Prime 1 is the outlier. What you call her "later" appearance was also how she looked in Metroid Fusion, which was released at the same time as Metroid Prime.
I guess for Prime 2 and 3 they just decided to settle on using a consistent look for the characters. As a whole, I suppose they just decided against using a realistic art-style, and opted instead to keep a consistent art-style among all of the Metroid games.
I have a feeling with the Balloon Fighter stage on 3DS, there's a chance this stage may be returning.
I was fine with animu Samus because the design matched the art direction of Fusion, Zero Mission, Other M, etc. Shoving it into the Prime series was a terrible choice though. Why the hell did Samus go from this and her MP1 appearance to this overly anime look that she has now.

did I do this right?
Oh i'm aware of that, i've played through the entire Metroid series. I just find the MP1 look to be a much better fit at conveying the entire idea of Samus as a person/character than her anime look.
Hi I want this game. please tell Sakurai to give me this game now. thank you.
Then why did you call it a transition or change? If you know that the anime-styled look was the older and more constant style, why talk about it as if it was something new? You should pay more attention to your wording.
In any case, that comes down to personal preference. I have no issue with stylized or cartoon-style characters. I don't think a change in art style makes Samus any less or more believable as a character. That is a product of writing, not artstyle.
This is not satisfactoryHave fun waiting for at least 2 more months!
Oh sweet, FD versions of 3DS stages too! So I guess the For Fun/For Glory modes are in the 3DS version too?
Sorry, The restraining order says I have to stay at least 200m away from Sakurai.Hi I want this game. please tell Sakurai to give me this game now. thank you.
For 3D Metroid the MP1 look was the first view of Samus in 3D after a generational absence. The change back towards anime styling is what i disliked, not because i dislike anime but because i believed that the MP1 look was a better match for the person/character of Samus than the anime styled plastic and possibly generic look.
This is not satisfactory
gah, I almost thought you were SuperSah for a moment!

Extra comment:
FD of Gerudo Valley.
No Twin Rovas, no bridge. No magic, no escape.
Music is 'Gerudo Valley'
Reiterates most stages will have FD versions. Will be a floating platform or connected to the ground depending on the stage.
No fun at alll.

Normal. Don't want to die of boredom before the first round is finished.Quick idea for the future Smash 3DS tourney:
Would prefer normal stages or FD?

... and that's where you lost me.
She fights a space pterodactyl, membranous nuclei with teeth and a disembodied brain functioning as an organic supercomputer with an emergency self-defense mechanism that involves turning it into what is essentially a cyborg T-Rex with a single eye that shoots laser beams.
Believability is for naught. And the MP1 face isn't even that believable to begin with.
I wonder if Sakurai is Team Real or Team Fake.

Turning every stage into FD or something close enough to it is one of the biggest reasons Project M is so dull compared to regular Brawl. Let's not turn Smash 4 into a snoozefest months before it's even out, please.![]()
