My new favorite picture. 11/10.

We got a pretty meaty Smash Bros. Direct last week, though, perhaps meatier than a lot of recent Bimonthly Directs.

I'd be hesistant to say that we get a general bimonthly Nintendo Direct this month.

Well, August 2013 got 4 directs. Bimonthly, Wonderful 101 Direct and two small directs from what I remembered.

I'm more intrigued by the spinning Kremling attack, I've seen Kremlings do many things and that ain't one of them, how graceful.

Maybe heavy characters are going to get more super armour properties on moves, or perhaps that Kremling's limb flailing is an ineffective attack knockback wise.

Reminds me of boom boom lol.

Not expecting anymore directs this month unless nintendo feels generous.

That's definitely interesting. I remember that now.

But it is Smash Run, so it may be because of one of the pick ups.

But they had a Smash Direct, a Tomodachi Direct, and Mario Kart previews blow out including new information.

I don't think a Bi-Monthly Direct is guaranteed. There is still a chance, but is unlikely.

Good point about Smash Run. I got so excited about the potential of Bowser having armor that I didn't even consider that lol.

Anyone else think certain characters have been held off from being revealed because the team hasn't fully figured out how they want to buff / modify them? Ganondorf, for example.

Well Ganon was going to be revealed close to release regardless of his changes. And probably most of the changes should have been implemented by this point.

At this point I'm certain Ganondorf will have a completely new moveset, but I wonder what they'll change about guys like Ness,Captain Falcon and G&W.

I think it's purely marketing reasons. Sakurai probably planned out his entire reveal schedule well in advance.

Snake, for example, will probably be revealed at E3 or close to launch for an extra burst of hype fueled by MGSV news.

I've made a few changes to my roster predictions/expectations.

I've raised my expectations from 50-50 characters to 45-55 characters. Additionally, Ghirahim was added back as an alternate to Tingle, and some of the other either/or characters have been separated into their own slot. I put Ghirahim back in because I figured that if characters like Sheik and Greninja can stand on their own as a character in Smash Bros., so can Ghirahim. Is it likely? I don't really think so, but I see it as a possibility for a Zelda newcomer if we don't get Tingle (assuming we get any Zelda newcomer at all, of course.)

There really are a lot more characters that have yet to be revealed, aren't there? Looking at that list there are a bunch of characters it's really hard to imagine them leaving out, so they just have yet to be announced. And yet the release period seems so near...

After seeing Kremlings in the Direct I feel like King k Rool has a chance to be in the game as a boss, assist trophy, or the very unlikely fighter. I think he will work best as an assist trophy.

If Snake doesn't get in, it would be cool if Sakurai did something similar to the codec calls, but with Palutena and Pit.

I actually hold myself back most of the time, and if you've really seen my posts, you'd know that I've said good things about them as well. It's the community surrounding those games, rather than the games themselves, that is deserving of the most scorn.

Either way, I still stated nothing as fact and everything as my opinion. So my point still stands. Not sure what you're trying to prove here.

That's even worse, for whatever reason people preferring something different from you offends you to the point where you always start insulting the other person.

Well, I have to agree with theprodigy. From what I've seen some of your posts tend to be insulting regarding this sort of stuff (competitive smash, brawl/melee arguments etc.). I'm not really sure how the community is deserving of any scorn.

The Bowser breakdown above has made him one of the first characters I'm interested in trying out. So many (overdue) changes came in at once.

For me, Bowser is "main status", no matter what. He's one of my favorite Nintendo characters and I've been rocking him since Melee through thick and thin, so that much is a given.

So in the end, what matters most to me is seeing what he and I have to work with this time, and hope that I won't have to work SO DAMN HARD just to get in on characters that can zone him all day and force him to flinch out of practically everything he does.

Yep, and Ganondorf is next now!

I may be alone in this, but I'd actually prefer to see Ganon (Blue Boar with Trident in the LTTP style) than to see Ganondorf again. Even the Nintendoland variant would be welcome to see.
