So, he's like, 200% worthy?
I hope their final smash turns the arena into a dream from Tomodachi Life. Weird shit just starts happening, like a giant Mii appears in the background and punches at the screen, lol.

I feel that their artstyle clashes with pretty much everything except for plastic. Also, they have no "character". That's by design because they're both customizable and focus-tested to be as inoffensive as possible.
I also don't care to see another player's Mii in a game. Breaks any semblance of a coherent universe, even one as wacky as Smash. "Oh, there's Mario fighting Charizard... and there's Bill. Hi, Bill."
I don't think it's a big deal if they make it, but my preference is for their exclusion.

I almost think a Direct for April is necessary, because if E3 is when Ninty stands to unleash details for their big guns like Zelda U, Smash 4, X and etc., what place is left for "smaller" games, like Zelda Musou/Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2, which stand to come out in Japan (at least) some time this Summer?
Better to let these games have their day earlier on, then have them completed overshadowed.

No, they can be used online with friends. For fun and for glory are just the 'play with any random scrub' modes. Almost anything can be done with friends.

Well if it's anything like the blue shell on Mario Kart it probably hits the player that is currently in the lead.
That...and it made metaknight even more better if that's possible.
My only problem with New Pork City was how boring it was. Palutena's Temple has style out the wazoo.

I'm going to miss taunt parties because now matches won't turn from free-for-all to 3v1. I remember joining and waiting until sudden death to kill taunters, it was great.
I'm just glad I can get one on one matches in For Glory. That's all I really wanted out of Brawl.
Also Palutena's Temple is one of the better stages, up there with Mario Galaxy and Wily Castle imo.

Ah, I remember they showed DK's up special in the first trailer last year. I really hope that attack doesn't end up like that at all. At least make the last hit have some sort of knockback!

I freaking love this stage. What it looks like it'll do as a big stage is that each section will kinda be like its own "mini-stage". Kinda like in Hyrule Temple how the main places to fight people would be the cave, the top right, and the top area. Each area is more distinguished with their own small layout and architecture. This is truly Hyrule Temple 2.0 that New Pork City failed at doing.

Then attack only the person who has the same character as you. That will confuse the others and then they will actually fight lol.

Maybe there is some new mechanic in the game that gives you an iron stance for a few seconds? For most of the attack the player just stands there and takes it so maybe it's a bug?

Sakurai specifically said you cannot use custom movesets in For Fun or For Glory, but those are matchmaking playlists for playing with strangers, you can still do custom matches with friends online and the wording makes it sound like you can use custom moves in custom matches.
EDIT: Just watched it again and he outright says you can use them online with friends.

In any case, winning that way still seemed to piss them off. I'm pretty sure if the Wii had a messaging service, my inbox would be full of death threats and such. It's a shame really, I always kinda enjoy getting those from playing video games.

Ignoring DK for now, another thing that caught my attention here is that Mario was able to air-dodge rather quickly after getting hit here.
That's a possibility considering that in the custom moves trailer, Mario's fireballs have different knockback

That was a low knockback attack. Mario was at a low percentage in damage.
