this ep was very pleasing.

thoughts:
-first off, ward is so much better as a villian, and it's great knowing he was a a piece of shit in the earlier episodes due to him being a mole.
-Agents of Nothing
-cybernetically-enhanced Garret
-returning weapons/Graviton

and of course, a Bill Paxton one-liner

So this is going to play out as the Grant Ward redemption tour I suppose. He's already showing remorse for his actions so I guess that's a good sign.

So we have deathlok roaming about, graviton coming back, and general hydra baddies to deal with this.

Things are turning out alright.

Yeah, Ward being Hydra the entire time actually makes me like the early episodes a bit more. I always thought he was a douche, and would never root for him. Now it feels right.

Great episode. Really glad they showed that Ward was a mole since the beggining. Also that they're not going to look for ghosts chasing Fury's one.

So, when Ward called them "The Short Bus" he was just being mean :(

Moles are terrible, terrible plot contrivances. It's like the worst part of 24 made into a main storyline on this show. And seeing the dude try to "act" makes it all the more painful.

So no anti-air at the Fridge. Full of the most dangerous criminals and most powerful weapons ever, all together. But a badass AI-AA in the middle of a hidden base no one knows about. Makes sense.

This show has lots of issues with internal logic, that makes it frustrating for me.

Plus, this is the second time they use the fake prisoner routine in a row. C'mon.... I was hoping those two guards would stand fast and Ward/Garrett would do something drastic to break in. Nope.

I don't want to sound overtly negative about it. I genuinely want the show to be good, but there's all these things that make me want to nitpick it.

I don't see anything wrong with it, it bugs the shit out of me too.

I just don't want it to get too negative, just because it kinda made this thread unbearable for the first half of the season.

He is one of the more competent actors on the show. He is not up there with Fitz or Simmons, but he is certainly better than May and Coulson. Not that I dislike Coulson or think that he is a bad actor, but he has never impressed. Ward is above the shows average, and not among the worst (May or Triplet).

I really have to chalk that one up to the writing being terrible. Coulson has been great in the films and that standalone short.

Where the heck has THIS show been? That was great. Patton Oswald had me dying haha I just kept thinking about his Parks and Rec filibuster hahaha

Man, they are building up some tension between the team here. Nice.

Also, Coulson plays Call of Duty?!! Knew he was awesome.

I'm excited to see how everything is going to play out. Especially know that we know the Gravitonium (or whatever it's called) has been called back.

Jesus, all that red Hydra is decking out with. And man, Garret is just verbally slaying it tonight. And Ward is really proving himself to be that stone-cold.

Another great episode!

Highlights for me:
*Coulson was on fire. Just... wow.
*Skye is becoming less annoying and more awesome
*Ward as the bad guy. Gave me chills!
*Fitz realizing that things are never gonna be the same
*May's reactions to Coulson's freakouts

If the rest of the series is gonna be like this, I'm in.

Agreed with all these. A great episode. I really hope Ward gets his cover blown and becomes their prisoner/hostage for the rest of the season before getting his head blown off. He's just straight up murdering innocent SHIELD agents. THERE'S NO HAND COVER UP HERE GUYS, HE'S A LEGIT VILLAIN.

And Paxton's killing it, ha.

Gregg as Coulson was fantastic tonight.

Oh, and all the callbacks! Peruvian death ray, Gravitonium (though I thought they were gonna free Blonsky).

This show has gotten really good the past few episodes. Paxton is awesome. Ward is way more interesting as a villain. Coulson is doing good work.

And I really liked how some of the stuff from earlier episodes are coming back. I'll be pretty surprised if this show tries to use Graviton. Seems too big for a tv series, but I would be pleasantly surprised!

Did they increase the budget for this episode.. the environments, cinematography, cgi, etc looked so much better compared with previous weeks.
