I am spitballing/brainstorming. That's what smash-hype is all about!
It just reminds me of Ike's side-b, because it's a horizontal dash that is charged up, followed by a sword-swing. That's all I'm saying. I'm also using the conspiracy theory that Sheik having grenades is a sign that snake is removed, therefore, zelda having a phantom who dashes after being charged up is a sign that ike is removed.
In *NO* way do I want Ike removed, at all. I want 0 cuts, personally. I'm just throwing out random ideas.
My other random idea is that because the balloon fight stage has wrap-around, which is a mechanic that pac-man is known for, a pac-man stage, and therefore pac-man are likely to be in the game
I also don't want pac-man in the game, at all. But that's just me.
This is a quote from the last thread. Seems relevant now.
Saw this on Gamefaqs which was from the Smashboards concerning Snake.
Might be a bit much but i like the idea here since it makes sense to me.
"Let me elaborate on why Sheik's grenades hint at Snake's return. When Mega Man was first shown off his rush coil works similar to Sonic's spring jump at the time where people doubted Sonic would return due to the fan-made "rule" of guest characters (Third-Party) not returning but this was proven wrong with Sonic's return proving that guest characters can return in the Super Smash Bros series. Later we seen Villager's boxing gloves which caused people to doubt about Little Mac's inclusion simply because it would make him "unnecessary" but this again has been proven wrong with both of them using boxing gloves. Now we seen Sheik using grenades which is similar to Snake's grenades and again people doubt about Snake's return for this very reason despite them having proven wrong TWICE before? It should be clear there is a pattern to it but if people haven't realize this then it is just very sad." -BlueSorrow
Ike is one of my favs, so his inclusion/exclusion is important to me. That's why I may be coming off as defensive.

Ultimately, I don't know if that quote is going to pan out. Snake seems 50/50 because of licencing. I think Ike has potential to come back solely because he's not a clone in anyway and imo is kind of unique for heavy hitters, since he's pretty quick (relatively speaking of heavy hitters.)
