Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

Speaking of Roy , isn't he like polygamist with being able to marry every girl with no need to make a choice?

He is easily a cool character in FE with potential to take up his awakening design and get some brand new sword play mixed in. Marth lost his old neutral B from melee , so Roy could maybe retain that and they could change up the properties a bit.

I might just be tired and getting my streams crossed, but I wasn't (intending) to make any statements about the validity of the original rumor. (Which for the record I take as likely being accurate) I also don't think there's any actual safe choices, just that he picked a lot of reasonable ones, just like everyone else.

I do think someone could've actually guessed WFT based on what franchises have grown within Nintendo since Brawl's release - the same reason I'm sure why a lot of people were thinking about Villager, since the series has grown incredibly since Brawl. Wii Fit didn't even exist before Brawl's development, and it's now of their second biggest new franchise from last gen (right after the Wii series, typically considered a home to the Mii).

Nothing's a "safe" guess, naturally. But nothing that was said was outright unreasonable either. If someone wanted to make a bold claim about safe guesses, I could understand where they were coming from even if that's an absurd claim to make.

Either way, I'm going to bed.

Exactly. One person on the Internet said Wii Fit Trainer. They listed six characters... just six... and one of them was Wii Fit Trainer. That's not a lucky guess. That's tantamount to guessing the winning numbers of the lottery.

Then there's the fact the same six characters included two others that were shown mere days later, one of which was deemed unlikely by the Smash community at large (Villager) and the other of which was seen by many as improbable due to Capcom's neglect of the character.

Rosters that guessed 100+ characters didn't even come close to 50% right when a "guess" of just six characters hit that percentage mere days before E3.

Yup! I did try to nosey inside but got stopped. Furthermore no photos are allowed of the lobby which has a nice little Pacman statue inside and Sakura blossoms.

I hear you. I work for Bandai Namco remotely (I live in Los Angeles) and had to go on a 2 1/2-week business trip to Tokyo where I was in that building every weekday.

Every weekday... knowing I was mere floors above or below Sakurai, playable Smash builds, and the game's many secrets.

I never even saw a glimpse of it. :(

Oh yeah, the lobby's super cool! It's even better inside... very zen-like, it's great. Not at all what I expected from a corporate environment. I was able to take pictures, but I didn't know you're not allowed, so I should probably keep those to myself. :P

Has there been any pre-release Brawl clips showing multiple air dodges?

I think that would be a good middle ground between Melee's and Brawl's air dodges. Only allow for it to be done once (and maybe allow you to do it again if hit), but it doesn't make you go into a helpless state. And no air dodging out of histun crap from Brawl.

Glad you saw the video. I hope he does more because he hit on a lot of things know one else did aside from you ;P

Really interesting point on the airdodging in the footage and I agree that would be a great middle ground between brawl/melee. One air dodge as long as not in hitstun and then you regain it if hit but only while tumbling or Neutral state.

What do you think about the possibility of some attacks causing backwards tripping/sliding, btw? Bowser hits Luigi with a strong attack and it happens and I think I'm okay with it as long as it is restrictive to certain attacks and a low chance of happening.

I agree, I think we may get one or two vets before E3 but then E3 will be the final blowout on characters.

I was speaking in a general manner, not just Smash.

However, I don't think too many more characters will be revealed before launch, and I certainly hope they don't. Leave some surprise in the game.

I don't think they are going to have many new game reveals for E3 besides Zelda.

1. it's legit

2. he seen some or all the e3 characters plus little mac, mii and pacman, and also seen the new grenninja trailer and just added the other 5.

ether way something has defiantly been leaked, personally I am 90 percent on 1 being the truth. To bad because the final roster is horrid

We will just get the usual Sakurai dynamic pictures with a trolling story lol

I don't recognize those enemies in the pic, one is from Kirby and the other Kid Icarus?
