...holy fuck can't unsee

Let's play "Guess the color reveals for the remaining 'leaked' characters"!

Mii- Wii Blue
Pacman- Yellow
Shulk- Sky Blue?
Chrous Men- White
Chrom- Blue-green
Palutena- Gold?

The aliasing in the Smash shots is much smaller though.

Upon analysis I think it is indeed smaller, but still upscaled. Even totally horizontal/vertical lines end up doubling in the SSB4 shots. Compression doesn't do that, but upscaling does.

I'm kind of leaning towards 900p (or some similar variant) now too.

[Edit] Though man, the SSB4 shots are REALLY compressed. I bet they're compressed down to like 40/100, something obscene. It's hard to be super intelligent about something so ruined.

Got a Wii U and have been playing DKC: Tropical Freeze.

Is it too much to hope for some of the new David Wise tracks to appear in this Smash?

Is it also too much to ask to actually get a good DKC stage this time around?

They probably did it because it was a huge packet of screenshots and they just felt like cutting down the time it would take to upload them for the press.
But yeah, I'm gonna guess that it is around 900p right now but they are aiming for 1080p in the final version which is probably doable and they even have almost a year to do it too.
I said this would take 10 minutes and it took a lot longer.... I'm so sorry guys. I tried, i really did haha

What do you guys think?

Other than the head being a bit wonky it's pretty damn impressive.

My favourite thing about Sin & Punishment 2 is that little stinger at the end of Isa & Kachi mode. If you think about the plot of the series,
not only is Isa playing in the main villain's hands, but she arguably ended up accomplishing her goal from the first game anyway.

I believe in Sakurai.

Remind me again? It's been a while since I played the first.

Those games had a plot?!

A lot of it's in the manuals, too. Whole plot spoilers:

Achi's goal is to create a powerful being in order to fight God. In order to do so, she claims to be a holy woman and imbues Saki with her supernatural blood. She trains him by imbuing the Volunteer Militia (Brad and co.) with her blood as well and having Saki defeat them. But Saki rebels and defeats Achi.

Isa is Saki and Airan's son; he appears in a vision in Sin and Punishment 1 where Saki has turned into a monster permanently. Sin and Punishment 2 reveals that Airan's dream was true, so Saki might have returned to Achi. I don't know. Anyhow.

Achi had two major influences on Isa's personality. First, Airan told Isa to beware of holy women, which led to Isa's distrust of God. Since she also is responsible for Isa's monstrous lineage, she's the reason why he grew up being distrusted. These two attributes lead him to be attracted to Kachi, who is also distrusted by God's servants.

Now, the villains of Sin and Punishment 2 are the G4, who are fighting so that God will grant human rights. There's nothing establishing them as a villain other than the fact that they're trying to kill Kachi. And Kachi is actually Achi, the villain of the first game, who is responsible for all of Isa's problems in the first place.

Achi successfully managed to recruit Isa as a soldier to fight against God, just as she wanted to do with Saki.

My memory might be a bit fuzzy, but that's basically how it goes.
...I'm probably the only person on Earth who noticed this.

Yes, yes you are.

I'm telling you, she's the best Nintendo villain and no one realizes.

Oh yeah, I remember all this now. I'm still always thrown for a loop as to
how Achi is Katchi though, given the latter's seeming loss of identity/MPD in Star Successor.

I just assumed
that her amnesia was an act. Either that, or she intentionally caused it in order to get Isa to join her. It plays too perfectly into Achi's previously stated goal, and it would be kind of silly if it was just dumb luck
.

Because no one played it! HAHAHAHAHA

:(

Well I beat it on hard so I count for like fifteen people.

Every day without Ridley is a filler pic for you :P

well no ridley is actually a better thing in this case :p though I have little hope for him, has there ever been a director trick the audience that a character or elemen of the game was a less desired role to later reveal it's really in the desired position?

So while you guys await the daily image (even though one image with information attached to it still kinda pales to ~120 images without context), here's something to argue about:

Well?

Well?

It's obviously D, know your Pokemon lore /s

anyway random, but Bo5 1 stock makes Brawl a lot more interesting

Professor Oak...no seriously bulbasaur unless this is a trick question.

Well?

Bulbasaur-First in Dex national order
Mew-Ancestor of all Pokemon, first Pokemon trademarked
Rhyhorn-First Pokemon created
Arceus-Creator of all things

I'm going with Mew since he's got two qualifications.

Well?

Arceus is the reason I never considered getting back into Pokemon after gen 3. I know it sounds stupid, but the idea of catching GOD HIMSELF in a tiny pokeball that anyone could acquire was enough for me to say "Screw this, I'm done with Pokemon" I since got back to Pokemon with X and really enjoyed it

Edit: I just realized I never answered the question, I'm going with Ryhdon as he was the first programmed Pokemon

Well?

Bulbasaur is the first Pokemon in the National Pokedex.
Rhydon is the first Pokemon to be coded into the game.

Mew is the first trademarked Pokemon.
Arceus is the first Pokemon canonically.

Arceus is actually debatable there. Only in Sinnoh's origin myth is it the creator, but Mew fills the niche of being the common ancestor to all Pokemon which might be more widely accepted.

Soo, even in the world of Pokemon, you would encounter Creationist vs. Evolutionist debates? Wow, that's pretty amusing =p

I was always under the impression Poliwhirl was the first Pokemon concepted, but Google tells me no, Rhydon was first

EDIT:

Lots of sketchiness abound. There's this:
According to the Pokémon Special (#3) for the Official Nintendo Magazine, Poliwag was the first Pokémon to be designed by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori. It is Tajiri's favorite Pokémon. He likes how the swirls on its stomach "are where its intestines should be".
Anyone have the issue?
