I think he's referring to the Jump games for the Nintendo DS. They were published by Nintendo in Japan. lol

Naruto is Australia's most requested choice so technically not the West.
Well since the game treats it as a solid object, then yeah. That tree is going to be a vicious edgeguarding tool.
Quick google search.
That's all i could find.
Can just imagine how crazy it could get
So what are people suggesting the game feels like speed/float/hitstun/etc-wise in these animations? I know it's meant to be the middleground between Melee and Brawl but it sure looks a lot more like Melee.
Feelin a little better about this game actually bein 1080p after the uncompressed images Alo81 posted in the other thread. Check this one out, for example:
Look at the edges on the blue shell, they've got that trademarked shitty blurriness that makes someone think the image has been upscaled. But then look at Lucario. His ears in particular are much sharper than that. And hell, look at this:
There's some blur on some of the mask's spikes, but the right-side purple bit has clean 1:1 pixel steps, the like of which you would flat-out never see in an upscaled image. Super-sharp detail on the mask's surface, too.
Basically the images are all a weird combination of blurry lines and totally clean ones. You wouldn't have ANY totally clean ones if there was upscaling, so at the very least it looks like these images were indeed rendered at 1080p. It seems like there might be some kind of actual effect in the rendering, though, that is blurring certain lines. Maybe on purpose, I dunno.

No, we just think these things are looking really cool in practice, even when they sound terrible on paper (Wii Fit Trainer, for example, looks hilarious).
Of course it's Japan-centric, nearly all of Nintendo's characters (and everyone playable in Brawl but Diddy) were created in Japan. As for the characters you list as no one was asking for, Xenoblade was bigger in North America than Europe or Japan (or so I have been told), Chrom comes from the most successful Fire Emblem game to date, and there are tons of western-made parodies of Rhythm Heaven's Ringside minigame.
It's fair to assume that the first Salromano leak is real, but I'd be more skeptical of the second, since we only have Salromano's word that it's the same guy. And as for Mewtwo being character number 48 in that scenario, you're jumping to conclusions.
Sakurai said:As far as choosing which characters, we had to really look at the series that would be represented in the game and create a balance that would make fans of all the series happy. We didn't want to have all Mario characters, all Pokemon characters...

The context of the comment makes it sound more like a tease that he is actually in the game, not that they were thinking about putting him in.There is also no rumor that Mewtwo is in, just a Sakurai comment saying theyvare THINKING about. That doesn't sound good to me personally. For all we know they could have discussed Mewtwo and Sakurai and Pokemon Company concluded the Mega Evo gimmick was enough with Zard and Lucario and looked and found Greninja. I think he will piss off just as much people spliting out the roster with the transforming characters and making it more noticible that its jam packed with Pokemon as he would piss Mewtwo fans, and just as the guy thinks, they'll buy the game anyway right?
I'm not an expert on this type of thing, but it looks like that's anti-aliasing. Here's the first 1080p screenshot without it

I was thinking about how odd it seems for bullet bills to be items then I got to thinking that the delivery method could be a wieldable one of their launch posts from classic SMB, Mich like how the firebar is portrayed.

It is definitely their anti-aliasing solution. It doesn't seem to be the best, but it works and it's better than nothing *coughalmosteverynintendogameever*
I think after Jigs we are done.

I think this is probably the case, but I'm not gonna say that Mewtwo is 100% deconfirmed quite yet. I could see both Jiggs and Mewtwo happening, as arbitrary as it seems at this point.
Just a thought, but maybe items and assist trophies are not rendered at 1080p while characters are?
Jigglypuff was the last Pokemon that would make only 4. I think we will either get Mewtwo or another new Pokemon on top of Jigglypuff returning.
Kinda want Big Bird in the game now.
Your math is off. Pikachu + Charizard + Lucario + Greninja = 4 Pokemon reps. If Jigglypuff was in, it'd be 5, and if Mewtwo was in on top of that, it'd be 6.

I can see Pokemon having 6 reps, Pikachu, Lucario, Charizard, Greninja, Jigglypuff, and either Mewtwo or a surprise just makes sense. If any franchise can have 6-7 characters its pokemon

I edited my post, I'm so tired right now, lol.
No worries. I can totally see both Jiggs and Mewtwo returning. This is basically my position on the game's roster right now:

I'm trusting both Salromano rumors (Rhythm Heaven Girl is a placeholder for the alleged actual Rhythm Heaven character) as well as the RosalinaX rumor, so that would leave one character left by estimates that consider both rumors (such as Soviet Prince's). The red characters on the side are those I can see filling in that last "slot." And yes, that includes Mewtwo, although I'm not sure how likely he is relative to the rest.
Also am I the only one bothered by the fan rosters that organize the franchise characters in rows instead of columns? I know that's how Melee did it, but I think it looked way better in Brawl with columns.

Psh, Spanish Sesame Street doesn't even have Big Bird. Closest they had was Caponata way back in 1980.US: Goku

Goku, Naruto and Sasuke have all appeared in two Nintendo-published games before. So we can at least say that they're more likely than Batman.
New stage spotted? Does anyone recognize this as a previously revealed stage?
It looks very F-Zero-esque to me.
That's an interesting idea, something similar to how the assist trophies on the 3DS will animate with half the frames. I don't think it's the case, though, looking at this one:
Got some blurriness on ZSS there, but the top of the Metroid is super sharp.
I guess it could be their anti-aliasing solution, as suggested, but I dunno why it'd only be on certain lines, and why it just looks so crummy. There are some lines here and there that look properly anti-aliased, but the lines of the sort on that blue shell sure look like something else. It might be a side-effect of their lighting engine actually, where lit edges have a bit of a slight rim-lit or halo effect that reacts poorly to aliasing.
I believe in all of Sal's leaks pretty whole heartedly, but I'm starting to doubt the Mario kart one. We really have no reason to believe the Rosalina guy, and even he didn't seem sure.
12 newcomers and heavily modded veterans is a perfectly acceptable roster though.
I've been out of the loop. What Mario Kart leak?
