Yeah I thought it was an interesting rumor. I even skimmed through some of his post and didn't see anything about other leaks. Anyone else here been at MKwii for awhile?

Probably a weird view but I would prefer 2 seprate stages than one mix up.

I respect this by the way. I always wondered how that particular bit of info regarding a hard 48 number and the 4 cuts started gaining so much traction and thought at one point something had happened to further corroborate it. Looking at it recently though, I don't see how anything could be set in stone. The games haven't gone gold yet.
 
I think some of the non-Chrom ideas for an Awakening rep are cool, but at the same time I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment if they expect anything more than Chrom/Marth or Chrom/Marth/Ike. Like, Robin and Anna would be cool but the more I think about them the more I can't see Sakurai implementing them.

I love Roy and being able to play him in PM makes me want him in Smash 4 even more.

If there will be 4 cuts, I think they will be the following: (Roy is already cut, Mewtwo is already cut, characters not in Brawl I already consider cut.)

Lucas - I'm not sure if it'll be Ness, but with Earthbound out on VC I think it will be Lucas.

Holy shit, a Nightmare AT would be amazing. It could weigh down enemies and spawn vortexes to absorb projectiles. Hell, even a boss form would rock.

Okay, random question for the Fire Emblem fans! Of all the new items that have been shown, we still haven't gotten any items from FE. Any ideas of what, if any, could there be? I still haven't played any of the games yet (I know I know, but I have a huge backlog, I will someday) but I'm just curious what the chances are of having any Fire Emblem items.

Exactly. Roster numbers and cuts wouldn't be finalized until the game went gold. However there are few good reasons that the cuts would be decided in early in the development. The reasons are 1) Sakurai have to work with Pokemon Company with the pokemon characters, so I would believe that Pokemon Company have a final says on who would be in or not; and 2) Snake could ended up not being in the game due to copyright.

Also I found it extremely weird that Mario Kart developer somehow know the information about Super Smash Bros 4, however it's not impossible since Nintendo workers could share the information.

Along with the fact that he is talking to Mario Kart developer over the Skype, and Mario Kart Developer having no problem to sharing the "NDA" informations over the video phone, when there are Nintendo Ninjas looking over people's shoulders.

I don't think FE ever had game related items in a Smash Bros game before.

If it's indeed 48, the roster size could be 7x7 for 49 slots if they're feeling generous with space. Or even include two random slots so they can save space and do 10x5.

A bag of warp powder would be pretty fun. It'd work like Fayore's Wind as a one time use teleport to anywhere on the screen determined by your control stick press after use.

You know what sucks about the Awakening father supports. You don't get any hint about the father's personality

Search up Virion and Inigo, it's BAAD. Didn't actually get this one, but Virion reprimands Inigo for being a womanizer/flirt (forgot which)

And yes, I'm still saying Henry was the best character of the Awakening cast and deserves to be in (although he wont) more than anyone else imo

After the incredibly obvious Mario and Sonic mash up stage I'd like to see a mash up between Metroid and F-Zero, a F-Zero style stage where you fly along a race track randomly stopping and dodging cars, but the track is in an F-Zero lava style area with rising acid and a dark environment to keep everyone on there toes

Hopefully. I like any game where I can level design. I lost sleep because of Little Big Planet and with Brawl I had fun with it, but it was limiting. I was hoping I could put in stage hazards and customize the look a lot more. You basically just had three backdrops. I was killing my Ashely's Mansion and Tetris stages though.

You didn't get this feeling from all the folks wanting Chrom and Lucina in general, especially when they both don't differentiate themselves much from the already established Marth and Ike in Smash? :P

In fairness, Roy appeared in Melee before his own game and Ike was a new character from the most recent Fire Emblem game. Marth's the difference because he was in the first FE game. So if Ike gets replaced, it'll most likely be a character from Awakening
Although I don't doubt that Awakening is many people's first FE game

lol I'd rather have Katarina, Marica, Shiida, Leif, Cellica, etc. Jaffar would be a cool assist trophy too.

Fire Emblem really just deserves it's own fighting game by Arc System Works. The cast is so diverse and there are so many characters who get overshadowed by other characters.

Just gotta wait for Pokken Fighters where Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee will be God Tier and dominate every tournament moreso than Meta Knight :P
 
The point of my comment is that people are starting to suggest Secondary and Tertiary characters as representatives for a series. It'd be like me asking for Florina, Colm or Marcus. Having played only Awakening, they give more weight to characters like Tiki and Tharja when in reality...they're nothing in the scope of the series as a whole.
