Well, we won't ever really know, will we? Even if the Wii U version performs poorly we won't really know whether or not it's because of the 3DS version given the Wii U's current sales. And we'll never know what the reverse would have done for 3DS.

3DS version is a genius move for Japan specifically. There's no way the game will catch on over there by only releasing a console version.

I'm optimistic for the effects of putting out the 3DS version first. I don't think it'll do the Wii U any favors in terms of sales, but knowing Sakurai I would imagine he has some awesome ideas in mind to make the Wii U version still appeal to those who have the 3DS version and had been playing it for months.
I'm not saying they'll definitely have a DLC character scheme, but I wouldn't be even slightly surprised...

It will be better for the Wii U now that it isn't releasing at the same time.
Releasing them both during the Summer wouldn't have done the Wii U version any favors looking back at it.
Since:
A. No one buys games during the summer.
B. 3DS version is cheaper and has a much larger install base, and is also a cheaper more accessible platform to boot.
C. Double dipping would be less frequent.
The Wii U version being released later was a calculated move. I wouldn't doubt if there's been tons of discussion over there on the matter. 3DS version is not only a standalone title, but is sort of an ad for the Wii U version. With more time, people will be more likely to double dip, and who knows how much the Wii U will cost this holiday (hopefully MK8 moves some units).
The 3DS version has Smash Run, and that alone sold me on it. I was a bit sceptical, but that made it more than worth the value. I am 100% sure Smash U has unique mode(s)/features just for it- the games won't be exactly the same, and there is probably some cool connectivity between the two. Anyway, I rather them polish the Wii U version as much as possible, I think they're basically finished with it for the most part.

It isn't. Wario is from the Dojo, Ganondorf is TP art.

It's actually suprisingly poorly made. Wario, for example, is copy-pasted from the Brawl Dojo screenshots.
This probably isn't why he was included in the game, but it's still pretty true. "Ninjutsu" is pretty much a tourist industry, ninjas are much more popular oversees from what I understand.

I don't think we'd be going into E3 with every newcomer revealed except for one Fire Emblem rep. Aside from the art being traced back to its sources, that should be enough to debunk this list.

I'm always surprised at the losers who set aside their time to mislead people like this lol. If you want a challenge, why not just straight up make a mock character select menu without making it look like someone snuck into Sakurai's office and took a shitty cell phone pic.
