Always look up Blog.US.Playstation.com and check the store update. It lists what games are perm. price drops or on sale.
Regardless if there's something you want and it is on sale, you blindly buy it and regret getting the game later if you end up not liking it =V
And how long will this discount last? It's enticing to jump at, but I feel like $6 is worth it to wait on early impressions... Has there been any extended gameplay previews of the game?
Oh, that. There are some US games on the EU store, I'm assuming VS isn't one of those games, right?

Considering my luck thus far with games I purchased going on 50-75% discounts after I purchase them (vagrant story, to:luct) I am trying to hold off just....a...bit....longer for trails in the sky. Fool me once(or twice), shame on you..yada yada
Can't say. I'm nearly sure that VS was released in the EU store before the "US import" thing, but my knowledge on this matter ends here (I already had created an US account to buy legacy titles in 60hz).

But otherwise that game is great and is worth the $20

Couldn't say exactly, earlier this year, $20 for to and $10 for vs I believe
I got the EU version, but haven't played through it, so I'm not sure why I should buy it again. It's not like the creative people behind the title could ever work on a successor at S-E.

So how many of these fire-sale games do you guys think will be given for free in the next months?

If you play on PS3, get the game off US PSN. 60 Hz makes all the difference, and in the case of Vagrant Story IIRC, the combat is much better since the 50 Hz botched it.
It is still not cancelled so that's better than nothing. And to be fair, they supported the Wii U much longer than they did with the Vita. The UbiArt download titles are still coming.
Been pretty much on media embargo for the game but I can't imagine it being that demanding that the port would need significant investment. I believe with it being a turn based game they could have cut some corners cmpared to Rayman (framerate).
Hope it plays well in Remote Play.
Exactly. I got the game back in the PSP days off of EU PSN and completely couldn't hit the timings during combat. It was so frustrating.
Now I've learned from my mistakes and made a US account on Vita. Srlsy, 60Hz makes all the difference in Vagrant Story.

Is Netflix not working on PS4? I keep getting connection error.
They've said it's much more demanding than Rayman, specially on the CPU. It runs at 720p on old gen systems rather than 1080p as Rayman did.

I'm betting MGR: Revengeance with be the big PS3 games (alongside Okami HD and something else) with the Vita getting Murmusa and Metal Gear HD Collection (which will be really messed up considering this sale).
With all of the Curve games that were part of the January sale landing on Plus, I have the expectation of sale games landing on Plus (we are seeing that already with Puppeteer landing on Plus next month).
Still, we don't know this for sure and both Rising and Murmusa are well worth there normal sale price, let alone a steep sale like this
.

I am REALLY waffling on Chrono Trigger and Muramasa.
Chrono Trigger because of the load times, Muramasa because I am worried it will be on PS+ before I have time to play it.
I suppose writing that just made me realize I've made my decision.

Yeah, it sounds like you're better off buying something else.
I suggest picking up Celceta if you have an extra $10, i don't think its going to be cheaper than it is currently any time soon.
Also its a really great game.

Love Max has been out in arcades for a year now; you can check tournament footage to get an idea of how it plays.
It isn't so much the general fact that people ask questions about updates and discount times that bothers me in the sale thread, but what actually annoys me a bit is when someone asks "oh god the prices are all wrong what is going on is it the same for everyone!" and someone further up on that same page has already tried to explain how things work. Like, that seems like the type of question you should at least skim the past few pages of the thread for to see if it has been asked/answered recently. But whatever, there was certainly a time when I didn't understand how the store update worked, but I was still a lurker then and couldn't ask even if I wanted to.

Me too, it's the only thing stopping me from putting up the OT now.
I think even CoD Vita got more press than BL2.

The true question is which version of the game is going to sell the most: Pack-in, Retail, or Digital.
Picked up Metal Gear Solid HD on PS3. Already had the Vita version but I wanted Peace Walker. Got Armored Core: Verdict Day as well. Tempted to get Daylight, but ehh those reviews.
Also, did Demon Gaze get stupid hard for anyone else? Right at the beginning when you learn about summoning monsters with gems, specifically. I summoned one monster, who just kept summoning more monsters. Then I died and the game booted me back to the main menu.

I hate how Vita games in the states get no coverage, the game releases next week, and we barely have anything. You would think the Devs would be proud of making all that stuff work on the Vita. Guess its SCEA

I was thinking it was just a bad spawn, glad my suspicions were confirmed lol.
Edit: yeah, I only used one nameless gem. I'm gonna give it another try later tonight.
