PlayStation Store: April 2025’s top downloads

Yeah I'm surprised it didn't make the top 10 on PSN's list.

People need to ask themselves who the target audience is for the Indiana Jones IP and whether or not the game did anything to really attract people outside of that demographic.

Good question. I underestimated how much that IP has lost its luster over the years.

This list shows that exclusives doesn't sell consoles, brand loyalty does.
Weird how since getting rid of exclusives Xbox had less and less brand loyalty, while PlayStation and Nintendo's grew.

Any brand loyalty for PlayStation and Nintendo was built over decades of exclusives. Not this week's sales chart.

Why do people think the IP is the issue?

It's mediocre stuff like this:

Who seriously expects to sell quality like this in 2025 in the millions?

That's the problem with the Xbox fanbase, they're so used to mediocrity that they consider this high-quality.
Xbox is fighting an uphill battle.

I don't believe it has. I still want to get the game, and am sure my brother, brother in-law and nephews would all be interested if I said it was good, along with other friends that are massive Lucas fans and aren't actively gaming or gaming single player.

I would have begrudgingly bought it full price despite the perceived value erosion with the game being on Game Pass day 1 and staggered release on PS5, but they couldn't even be bothered to get the game on the disc and even then I see that they scalped a chunk of game to sell as DLC to Game Pass players as a £20-30 upsell, and to artificially create a deluxe edition.

I'm now in the market for a complete Goty edition on the disc or a cheaper coffee coaster edition, whichever comes first, but am still a huge Indiana fan that will wait out the corporate garbage because of the mishandling by all suits.

The standard is higher on PS. A mediocre game like Indy will barely sell.

I tried telling people that, but they just got mad "because reviewscores" and then they go silent or act surprised when we see the actual data.
standard is higher - charts dominated by EA games, MLB, WWE, Assassin's Creed and average games like Dayz Gone

Yes, I did. Because of all the drama, I wanted to check out the beta. I literally said so:
Is the beta only accessible through pre-ordering, or was it early access to the open beta for pre-orders?

With all the drama, I'm actually on the fence to pre-order it just to check out the beta when the time comes.
(Couldn't give two fucks about wasting money even at full-price)
Besides, I never acted like it was an amazing game and Firewalk got rightfully shutdown.

So... Indy isn't far off from Concord, I assume. And we didn't even get data on Avowed and South of Midnight yet.
It's a pattern with Xbox.
