Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 7: How Can My Smash Brother Be This Cut

You know, it's not the perfect solution, but the more I think about it I could see a change of hats working where:

-Ike is cut
-Ganondorf becomes an amalgam between his and Ike's moveset as a heavy swordsman
-Captain Falcon's moves are given a little more kick
-New FE rep with a unique moveset added

Conceptually speaking, I feel like Little Mac is what Ganondorf was supposed to be from a gameplay perspective - a rapid-fire, heavy-hitting character with tricks up their sleeve to frequently induce "oh shit" moments from zoners and projectile users. Considering how more refined the concept is in Little Mac, and that Captain Falcon fills the niche as an elemental brawler, it leads me to think that Sakurai's more willing to take risks with Ganondorf's playstyle now that both of those niches have been filled.

Actually, Pikachu is male as of Brawl. because of the barely used gender differences introduced in Pokemon Diamond & Pearl. Female Pikachus have the end of the tail heart shaped

Lucario and Mewtwo both have masculine voices as well. Jigglypuff is ambiguous, but wears a lot of feminine hats so...

Eh, that's being a bit pedantic.

Oh no, they're certainly not doing that. Snake's moveset is very specific to him to begin with and wouldn't fit anyone else, no matter how much people want to try and make connections on bazookas alone.
I think they're going to end up being far more gruesome if Snake doesn't make it and are chopping him up and distributing parts.

Sheik's grenade is certainly eyebrow-raising.

Say no to character butchering and selling their meat.

Replaying Kid Icarus Uprising, and man, Palutena has so many moves. We see her using the following attacks in Uprising:

- Levitation: Self-explanatory. She hovers when moving. Think of how Mewtwo slid around in Melee.

- Energy Balls: Three balls of light, horizontally or vertically. They fan out simultaneously when fired horizontally; when lined up vertically, they fire rapidly one at a time from top to bottom.

- Homing Shot: A ball of light that slowly tracks the opponent. Three of them can be placed on the field at once.

- Blinding Light: She charges her shield and unleashes a flash of light that blinds her opponent at close range.

- Light Columns: She waves her staff to send several pillars of light cascading across the stage.

- Halo: A halo shaped like her own slowly follows the opponent, firing its own light balls independently of Palutena.

- Poison Gas: She summons up a cloud of purple mist to inflict poison status on the target.

- Staff Spin: She spins around with her staff, creating rings of light that repel enemies in melee combat.

- Staff Charge: She holds up her staff and lunges forward in a blaze of light. Basically "Fox Illusion" the way it appeared in Uprising.

- Centurions: On higher intensities, Palutena can summon Centurions and Centurion Knights, one at a time.

- Palutena Glam Blaster: No doubt her Final Smash. Used to one-hit kill Hewdraw in the third chapter of Uprising.

Also bear in mind that Palutena is the one who creates the grind-rails for Pit. She could thus use them herself...

This just got me so hyped for Palutena's potential. Hope the leak true!

I'm still disappointed that we have had no screenshots of Mega Lucario or Mega Charizard X.

We have a couple of Giga Mac so why not :(

I'm, like, 90% sure that Smash's Jigglypuff is referred to as female in at least one game.
No, Jigglypuff (also, Pichu, Mewtwo, Lucario and the Trainer's Pokémon) have always been identified as their species name, their classification, or an 'it'. Pikachu is also referred to in this manner, but as of Brawl, every Pikachu in Smash is male due to visual gender differences introduced in the Pokémon games.

Lucario and Mewtwo both have masculine voices as well. Jigglypuff is ambiguous, but wears a lot of feminine hats so...
It is possible that Mewtwo & Lucario just think masculine manner since they are not actually speaking, but rather, they are telegraphing their thoughts.

Also, I always thought that Jigglypuff's accessories were just an allusion to people dressing-up their pets in goofy outfits & not actually supposed to be an indentation of gender.
Plus, the Green Headband was the Balloon Pokémon's best alt. Why did Sakurai remove the best alt in Brawl?!

Yoshis are generally considered male and partnered with Birdo as a female counterpart, though sometimes Birdo is a male to female transexual.
A MtF transsexual would most likely identify as female, so I don't see what you are trying to say.

Personally not a fan of Giga Mac.

His FS should of been a star punch, like it is in the game. Remove the KO bar for the original FS IMO.

Otherwise Little Mac is still looking godly to me.

One hit FS are the worst considering some people get FS that last forever.

Pic of the day. The menacing foe, Orne! It inflicts devastating damage--it's even more powerful than the Ultimate Chimera in the last game. RUNNN!!

dat a reaper? or a buddy of a reaper

Nope. It's an Orne. They are a type of enemy in Kid Icarus Uprising that are 1) immune to normal attacks and 2) instant kill Pit with a single touch. They even overwrite the background music when they approach with their distinct theme music.

I wasn't implying anything other than biological sexes can be confusing with some characters. Nothing about gender. Yoshi is generally considered male but pops out eggs. Birdo apparently has her reproductive organs on her face.
