No One Lives Forever Trademark Filed By Night Dive Studios (System Shock 2 Steam)

You fine folks are in for a treat if these are actually getting re-released. Wonderful games :)

No, you GTFO. Compared to JACK, Cate Archer is nichego.

Sit yourself down, have a coke and a smile and behave yourself. Cate Archer fo life.

Noiiice!

So what do we reckon then? Same dealio as System Shock 2, as in on GOG exclusively for a month or 2 then on Steam (with Cards, Chieveos and all that Jazz).

They might have funded this venture on their own. Sometimes CD Projekt partially funds development in exchange for GOG exclusivity.

Let's be honest here though as much as we all love GOG, Cards and Achievements are a big draw and devs do make a little back in return (or maybe more from people purchasing games specifically for Steam features).

Hope they can do some tweaks to the games.
Currently NOLF1 does run at 30fps on Win8 and NOLF2 has problems with high resolutions and widescreen FOV.

This has made my day. I will get these when they come out. Wish I still had the original discs, but lost those during moving.

I feel like Night Dive is mainly a legal department that goes and tracks down where these games are located.

I mean no one knew where the System Shock 2 license resided, turns out it was with some obscure insurance company. Not even Activision knew where the No One Lives Forever licence was and Night Dive managed to dig it up.

We need someone like them for console games, particularly Japanese ones. There are so many Japanese franchises languishing under some company that has long since abandoned console gaming or gaming altogether. Shadow Hearts immediately springs to mind, as they're owned by Universal Entertainment Corp., formerly Aruze. But it's probably an impossible dream.

Can't wait for it to be released...

And then skim through all the reviews by dumb 14 year olds talking about how it sucks.

Gonna be a good day.

oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god

If this means what I hope, Day 1 on Steam. Hell, if it's GOG only, these would be the first 2 games (NOLF 1 and NOLF 2) that I buy on that service.

I would say Xseed does that in a way, but they seem to be moving towards the PC platform as well.

YESSS DAY 1. (If they come out)

I simply adore both of the NOLF games. Bought the original at a Sam Goody for like $10 and bought the second at release. I would've liked to revisit them before but I lost a bunch of my old PC games in a flood.

But I have an original boxed copy of NOLF 2. How I'm supposed to feel special now that everyone else can have the game now?? >:(

jk

If they can get System Shock 2 out of limbo, then anything is possible. SS2 had one of the most confusing ownership things I have ever heard about.

I've never played any of the NOLF games so I look forward to them showing up! The more female protagonists the merrier.

Grim Fandango next please? :P I'd say X-Wing and Day of the Tentacle, but I suspect those are just due to Disney being silly or something rather than licensing.
