So you don't think it's fake? It's a welcome change compared to other sites that you're extra sceptical and not writing a story on every stupid rumour, but doesn't this seem quite genuine as far as rumours go? Particularly in light of some of DemonNite's posts and others on here.

I think this gen might find Japanese developers catering to Western audiences more because they know there is money in it. More money than catering to gamers in a region that is buying fewer and fewer consoles in general. The Souls series has basically proven it. This idea that Japanese developed games will only appeal to fans of Japanese games and will sell like crap outside of Japan might not be true in the future if we become their primary target audience.
MS will throw money around and lock down exclusives, I have no doubt. But I feel that overall they most likely do not have the same relationships with these Japanese devs that Sony has fostered for the past 20 years. And continued sluggish sales and more difficult development platform might make it a tougher sell on the MS side.

To be fair, NDAs are fairly commonplace in the industry these days. And consequently, we are damned near conditioned to think that no news is good news. Not disagreeing with your points, but that's the internet for you.

Agreed. More and more Japanese developers will be trying to get more of the western audience but outside of a few names, most won't have enough publisher backing to make a dent. Even bit names like Platinum, Grasshopper and From and not always sure-fire winners.
Sony have worked hard to foster good relations with many developers but they certainly are not the only ones doing so. More sluggish sales compared to Sony is one ting but people should never underestimate MS. They won't just throw their hands up and give it to Sony. They are not doing that badly.

The context of what I was saying was that it's notable that zero of the sites that you might expect to at least pass on the news that this was something that was being talked about, weren't saying anything, and that it was possible that some of them could be under NDA if in fact these screens were real, and maybe that's why we weren't hearing anything. Period. Full stop.
Nobody here was pissing on your, or anybody else's, integrity. In fact, when the talk surrounding the seemingly purposefully muted reaction by the gentlemen over at GB during yesterday's Unprofessional Friday came up, I chimed in with this:
"I've got a lot of respect for Klepek and GB in general doing their best to honor whatever embargo conditions they've agreed to [if that is what is going on here], even so much as to err on the side of not saying anything even if it's probably ok (e.g. saying something on a Bombcast before the embargo lifts even though it'll lift the day the broadcast is posted)."
Approximately zero people in this thread are calling you a shill or other nonesense for not reporting on anything yet; whether that reason is because you don't find it worth your time to report on, haven't yet finished vetting the story, or if your outlet is under some form of NDA. All are totally valid reasons. We were speculating why we hadn't heard anything from the majority of the major sites. Speculating. That's it. Calm down, mate.
Pretty sure we do and nobody suggested otherwise, to my knowledge.
