Microsoft E3 2014 predictions

Over or under on 5 big exclusives being shown this year? Im really thinking over and not counting indies like Below. Also not counting ones that have been revealed already like Halo 5.

-Quantum Break Gameplay

-Sunset Overdrive Gameplay

-Halo 2 Anniversary Announcement/Gameplay

-Forza Horizon 2 Announcement/Gameplay

-Fable Legends Gameplay

-4 or 5 new (or revived) IP announcements with gameplay footage... half of them will be released this year while the other half will be released during the first half of 2015; a decent number may end up being platformers.

-Halo 5 teaser

-Crackdown 3 teaser

-New Xbox One SKU: $500 for 1 TB; current 500 GB model goes to $350.

-Announcement: No more popular media apps behind the paywall

-ID@Xbox showcase with FRU demo for kinect

-Call of Duty: Advanced Warfighter demo

I like this.

Some stuff drops XBL gold paywall

Dx12/secret sauce/dual soc/cloud magic tech talk

Call of duty

Forza

I like this.

So do I except for the price of the new bundle. He is suggesting at the current system w/Kinect goes to $350 and new one with a 1TB HDD goes at $500.00. Basically a $150 for a 1TB drive.

I think what would be better is a limited edition White console at $450.00 with a 1 TB HDD, while the regular one see's a price drop to $399.99 w/Kinect.

-Reiterate Call of Duty DLC exclusivity and show Advanced Warfare gameplay.
-Xbox One price drop
-reiterate seamless TV and Game switching
-Xbox Originals (most like show something from Atari dig and mention Halo TV show)
-Halo 5 mention and trailer
-mention titanfall DLC and announce a exclusive DLC agreement ala CoD for sequel.
-mention indie games and ID@Xbox, show capy's below
-show sunset overdrive gameplay with insomniac on stage (to show up sony of course)
-announce gears
-epic on stage to announce either new ip or unreal tourney

Totally wild prediction: dropping Gold paywall for apps.

That's all I could think of ATM. Will update when I think of more.

I'm hoping they show off Cortana for the Xbox One. Would be pretty cool if they decided to go all cylinders on that to have it on every one of their platforms this year.

But also Halo, and Quantum Break.

"is there a chance in the future well de those neglected ips will return?"
"Yes, it's a real focus for us right now."

:O BANJO! BANJO! pls

I knew his display of the original XBOX had a good reason behind it, like i said before i think he's going to put an emphasis on the rebirth of old school original xbox titles.

Phil's twitter has been a gold mine for material as of late, and I've really been surprised that Microsoft hasn't put a muzzle on him yet. I guess they've made a transition towards transparency with the community?

Before he got the the Head of Xbox title, he would joke occasionally that he was talking too much on Twitter. Now he can talk all he wants and jokes with people he works with. He avoided a Halo question by pulling Bonne Ross into the conversation. All that said, I really like that they're open and he is constantly talking to the community.

He is xbox! Unmuzzleeeee

- Halo 5 2015
- Gears of War 4
- Forza Horizon 2
- Exclusive indies
- Quantum Break demo
- Sunset Overdrive demo
- 1 New IP
- Microsoft + PlatinumGames bringing you Bayonetta 3 exclusively on Xbox One.

Here's what stood out to me:

- E3 is going to be so packed they're releasing new information leading up to it; May in particular will be a good month.
- new first party studios will be announced at the event . Not sure if that means studios MS has created, acquired or has simply partnered with. I expect a mix.
- there will be Japanese games shown at E3, which will probably coincide with the Japanese launch.
- to my relief, returning to old IP means reboots and not sequels. This is awesome since that way more people will have the opportunity to jump into a franchise.
- neglected IPs will be getting some attention so I'm suspecting Banjo is getting a new game or reboot.

On a side note I'm somewhat disappointed Fable Annkversary won't be coming to XB1.

I know it's kinda obvious, but MS needs to really showcase some top level exclusives. Showcase Halo, get a new Gears announced. The fact their games on all systems run at a sub-par level has hurt them (and the price tag). They could easily make up the slack with a solid 3-4 games.

Things I don't care about like Crackdown 3, Halo 5, and that new Fable, probably. They've gotta do a lot to make me interested in the 'Bone.
